| | | Employee "Perks" Just curious, what benefits do you have as an employee of a park??
I know we get free entrance into (of course) our park and all the nearby parks (Six Flags: Great Adventure, Dorney Park, Hershey Park, and Wildwood).
At least, thats the only interesting benefit..lol What about everyone else?

| | | ^ It certainly can include those. But to get those, you have to be more than a seasonal worker, which doesn't include the vast majority of their employees. Just like at any other job, the part timers and ones hired for a time period don't get those kinds of benefits.
But that doesn't mean there aren't others. If you get hung up on the word, then think "perks" instead.
And it seems like free admissions to company parks, some extra free tickets, discounts in the park, and some employee activities are pretty much the standard fare at all of them, though some parks will also add one some other things.

| | Depending on the department, aside from free personal park admission,
ValleyFair employees are entitled to: - Free go-karts/bumper boats (if you work in Rides) at the Challenge Park.
- A 25% discount from the merchandise department on purchases made only during park operation (and you must be punched out).
- Discounted foods at the employee cafeteria (discount is set in prices, not applied on purchase).
- Free admission to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH (enter through Guest Services w/ your ID).
- A maximum of 6 complimentary park tickets per season from Human Resources.
- (Probably discount season passes, but I'm not sure).
- And dozens of employee activity nights, which are really, really, really fun.

You missed the point. I wasn't refering to the perks (free admissions, etc.) I was refering to paid vacation, sick leave, medical, dental, etc. That is NOT available to most employees, and is usually reserved only for those that have been assigned full time positions.
That's totally separate from admissions, tickets, and discounts, which pretty much every park employee gets in some form or other.

| | Universal offers medical / dental / vision plans to full time employees (average 36 hours a week), along with a 401(k) matching program (I believe it was 100% of the first 3% you contributed, then 50% of the next 2%), free admission to Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, CityWalk clubs (most nights), Sea World, Busch Gardens and Universal Studios Hollywood. We also got free one day passes every quarter, between 3 and 6 depending on how long you'd worked there, 1/2 price Halloween Horror Nights tickets, and 3 free "After 5" Mardi Gras passes so friends could come see the concerts on Saturday nights. Not to mention the 50 something page book of discounts we got in the area ... No application fee and / or deposit on apartments, discounts on car service, cell phones, cleaning services, *TONS* of stuff. It got to the point where we asked *EVERYWHERE* we went if they gave Universal employee discounts. Oh yeah, and we had employee only events ... Sneak peek of HHN, Christmas (sorry, Holiday) party, preferred viewing for 4th of July fireworks.
