Shrek!

I just bought it today (I've seen it in theaters) and I love it. Did you guys know that the entire movie was made to mock Disney?? Some guy got fired from Disney movies, so he went and created Dreamworks (Shrek creators) and then decided for his revenge to make a movies making fun of Disney! He said that Shrek himself was supposed to represent Michael Eisner (he kinda looks like him)!! I thought that was a VERY creative idea!! Shrek got 5 stars and Monsters Inc. only got 3. HA! In yer face Disney! :p

I'll honestly say that I didn't really like Shrek. I mean, they took that really hot princess and turned her into an ogre! And we're supposed to sympathesize with Shrek?! I wanted to beat him!

The animation was really good in some places but really bad in others. The opening credits are amazing. But some scenes, like when the dragon is flying above the clouds, are REALLY bad. I thought Toy Story was much better in the story and graphics departments.

And the whole Disney-mocking thing is true. They've got the Seven Dwarves, Pinnochio, and the whole crowd in the movie.

Shrek was pretty good, but don't be so quick to laugh at Monsters Inc. I'm going to see it, and it should be good since it's from the makers of Toy Story.

If you have the DVD, go to Special Features (Disk 2) and Story Board Deleted Scenes.

The go to the bottom scene and watch it. Makes so much fun of Disneyland its not funny (well it is, but you get the idea).

My mom's watching it right now in the same room as me, it sounds good, but the computer faces the wall, so I guess I'll have to watch it later.

That movie looks really good, and I really want to see it. I think that I will probably get it for my PS2 DVD player. I think that Monsters Inc looks really good too though.

If I do buy it, I'll get the DVD. It was pretty funny, although my sister saw Monsters Inc. today, and she said it was really good.

I loved that movie (I saw it in theaters). I think the best part is the end when Donkey is singing. I really didn't notice that it makes fun of Disney, but i guess that is pretty cool.

Shrek was cool. Um......someone said the princess was hot, and that kinda scares me, seeing how she was animated and all....

I saw Monsters, Inc. It was really good and funny too. I liked them both a lot! I would say Monsters Inc was the best Pixar movie they have made. Disney is good as long as they dont sing....

How did you not notice that it made fun of Disney? The entire scene where Shrek and Donkey enter Lord Farquad's (sp?) castle was making fun of WDW. It was hysterical.

I just watched Shrek last night at a friend's house. I must say that my favorite scene in the entire movie is the one with the Gingerbread Man. "Do you know the Muffin Man?" and the best line ever "Eat me" (see he's a gingerbread man and...oh never mind you get it lol). There are alot of adult jokes in that movie that Disney would never even dream of including in one of their movies.

I do think that Toy Story was better though, simply because it was an amazing story, I loved it.

Lol, i noticed that too. There's bunches of cuss words too, but none of the kids in the theater seemed to notice at all. I was shocked that it got a PG rating.
