| | | Right on man! I'm so happy that Arizona beat the Yankees! It was someone elses turn and they did it! I was rooting for the Mariners, but they just sucked in the postseason. I was sad they lost, but boy was I screaming tonight! My mom and dad and I watched the whole game right to the end and we were all jumping up and down and screaming and hugging each other. It was great. Gotta hand it to the Yankees though, they sure put up a good fight. Right on down to the last inning of game 7. Regardless of who won, I think this has been one of the most exciting and one of the best world series of all time. |

| | | I sure as heck watched that game! The D-Backs made it to game seven of the world series! Wouldn't miss it for the world.
When NY got into the lead in the (I think) the 8th, I thought the D-Backs were done for. I even changed channels for a while. Then I flipped it back.
Man, I sure was glad I did. I saw a four year old team win the world series. I just loved the faces of the NY players! They were so heartbroken! HA HA HA! Well, after 27 WS wins, you'd think that a 28th wouldn't matter to them. Oh well. Here's to next season!:D :D :D :D :D :) :) :)

| | | Isn't it funny, how one of the worst teams in Minor League Baseball(The El Paso Diablos) are a farm club of the D-Backs? Well, anyway, congrats to the D-backs for not only beating the Yankees, but proving that Mariano Rivera was human.
P.S. Hah hah Franklelock!

| | | Oh yeeeeeaaaah! Go D-backs! I think this was a very, very good series! It all came down to the bottom of the 9th in game 7! You can not get more exciting than that! Great series and it's great to see someone other than the Yankees win it!

| | | IMaybe one of you can answer this question. Why do they call it the World Series, when only teams from the USA are involved?

Why worry about it is my question. There's plenty of things that all countries do that involve the word world, earth, or planet that I really just wouldn't worry about it.
None the less, great work Arizona and especially Mark Grace, who the D'backs wouldn't have won the game without, what a game he had. I'm really glad not only to see 4 ex-Cubs winning a championship, but now to New York, all I have to say is, MAYBE NEXT YEAR. |

| | | Andy, I am not trying to be rude here, but it is probably because any team here in the MLB could probably beat the hell out of any team out of the US. so technically it is a series between the best two teams in the world.

| | | Its kinda ashame though, any other year it be really great beatin the Yankees, but somehow it jsut seems weird, the Yanks and the city and Rudi went through so much, i thought a WS win would help boost spirits a tad more. However, i was rootin for the d' backs, and i am happy they won, but its just different sorta this year. know what i mean?

I see what you mean...
I am a Yankee fan, so obviously I wouldn't want them to lose anyway, but it would have been nice to win this year for NYC and everything...I don't mean to sound like a baby here or anything, but, in a small way, it seems like when the Yankees lost, New York now has nothing bright to look forward to...oh well.
Great job by Arizona...Schilling and Johnson are awesome pitchers (I'm surprised at how modest Johnson was in his interviews...Schilling seemed a bit more cocky, but Johnson was saying things like "Well, when I'm going up against Andy Pettite, I know I have to pitch a really good game.", etc., etc. That's one thing I tend to like about players who know their good ;) ).
You gotta admit, though, the Yankees did have an awesome comeback...They just couldn't seem to close it out (That game 6 was sickening lol :) ).
So who's going to be MVP? (For the Yankees it's probably Kim lol j/k) Apparently it can't be Rivera since he finally cracked last night, and thus ruling out any other Yankee...probably Johnson or Schilling, right?
Anyway, congratulations to the Diamondbacks, and nice effort by the Yankees...what a great World Series :)

| | | MVP honors are shared by Johnson and Schilling.
Dude, I only watched the first 5 innings, then my parents forced me to go to bed. Man was it riveting. But how could I miss that climatic 9th inning?! Auuggh!
I'm just glad the Yankees didn't win. They really didn't deserve it. The D-backs dominated them the whole series, maybe except Game 3.
Man, if the D-backs lost, you know that Byung Hyun-Kim would've been lynched. I feel SO sorry for him.
