| | | Can someone answer one of life's biggest mysteries (to me at least)
Ok, I've been wondering about this for a really long time, but I have a question that is so wierd yet so un-thought of that I decided to ask it. What is the physical difference between a leopard (sp?) and a cheetah? I know Cheetah's run faster, but is there any physical differentation between the two as far as appearance is concerned?

| | | I'm not a zoology major, but I've always thought that Leopards are more like Jajuars. I think Cheatah's have the really long legs and small spots and Leopards are bulkier, have the large spots, and climb around in the trees. |

| | | Visually, leopard is bigger. Cheetah is very skinny, long torso and long legs. Leopard looks like a scaled down version of lion (muscular legs and torso).
The one that runs 70mph is Cheetah. Leopard relys on stealth on stalking preys......
Leopard likes to hang out on tree tops (to get away from lions and hyeanas), while cheetah can't climb trees (except baby cubs).
Go and watch Animal Planet channel if you have cable, then it would become obvious to you.
By the way, both cats live on the Afircan savannah. However, leopards can be find in forests too. Panther is the black fur version of leopard.
