Who is "India.Arie"?

I have never heard of her, him, whatever...

There's a total of six artists that I care about at all, Rage Against the Machine (should be given winner), POD, Linkin Park (all for the "Best Hard Rock" category), Tool, Slipknot, and System of a Down (System should win, these three for "Best Metal"??).
Since when is Alien Ant Farm "Hard Rock"??

Why isn't System of a Down up for album of the year?

It was voted best by Alternative Press and Spin magazine, Rolling Stone, Blender, and Entertainment Weekly all said it was one of the best.
Hell, even Time magazine voted it the 3rd best album of the year...

I am dissapointed with the Grammy Nominations this year. I think that they could have done a better job with them. I hope that next years will be better.

the grammy nominees this year and every year stink. this years is better than last year though. U2, one of the greatest, if not the greatest band ever is up for 8 awards:) this is good to see since the all that you cant leave behind record is amazing. the major problem is they have maybe 3 or 4 good rock acts each year and thats it. linkin park is nominated for 1 grammy. this is retarded because they were the BIGGEST rock act of the year. their album "hybrid theory" was the number one selling album this year and rightfully should be so. they got snubbed. there are countless other bands that were snubbed such as system of a down who put out the second best album this year (behind linkin park), why the heck arent they there????????????. major rap acts were snubbed too. DMX, ja rule and ludacris got nothin. also, why the heck are india arie and nelly furtado on there?

U2 Dominate Grammy Nominations

U2 are set with a field-best eight Grammy Nominations, including song of the year (stuck in a moment you cant get out of) and album of the year. Also up for nominations are David Gray (best new artist), Bob Dylan for "Love and Theft" and REM's "Imitation of Life" among others.

Hopefully, U2, my fellow Irish rockers, will get some major recognition, they deserve it. And hopefully, crap artists like N Stink and Backstreet Boys will go away empty handed and the real artists will win their respective categories.

In conclusion, go U2!

What I want to know is where is "Hanging By a Moment" by Lifehouse? That was by far the best song of the year, and one of my all time favs. Looks like another disappointing Grammy's.

Lifehouse didnt get ANYTHING????? damn! lol I think it's funny Gorillaz keep getting nominated for stuff... theres no real band... its the lead singer of Blur and Jamie Hewlett the animator... the purpose: to be different from all this "pop bull.."... and then they get thrown in the middle of it lol

I like Gorillaz but they are not Rap. Where is the Alternative category, it's been around longer then rap and still is very successful. I hate the Grammies for that reason. They pick the wrong winners and never even nominate the best of the year. What a bunch of fascist old people who don't know what today's music is about.

It'll get locked or merged. ANyway, I thought the Evolution Remix was ok but U2 isn't that good of a band IMO. I like some f there songs but I don't think they are the best band in the World like many people think. They do deserve some recognition but I hope they don't sweep the Grammy's (which they probably will do)
