New Found COmersialism!

I'm sorry, but these new home made ads SUCK! Like the Xbox on especially, if you are trying to con us into believing that X box is related to coasters, you failed majorly. Like, A LOT of coaster sites try to get ads from parks and other sites, try that. I bet you might get 3 clicks a week from these Lands End ads and stuff.

Who said the ads have to do anything with the actual site? money is money and it comes from whoever is willing to pay.

coastercameron, would you rather have ads totally un-related to coasters up there? What we are trying to do here is make the site a better environment for coaster enthusiast. You also have no clue how much money is spent making you guys happy, some extra money allows us to do more with the site.

I don't mind the banner ads. I absolutely hate the pop up ads, so those companies I commit to memory to ensure I never patronize them.

The banners I don't really mind. Though it is stupid how you say the X Box is the Fourth dimension game system. I know it costs a lot to run a major site like this, but just have normal ads, don't make em coaster-related, because they aren't.

I also hate pop ups! But I found away to get rid of them forever! Go to panicware.com. Find a program called pop-up stopper. Download it. Say good-bye to about 95% of the pop-ups you used to get.

Maybe the banner says that it is the forth demontion game system, because that is X Box's slogan. I remember hearing it on a tv commercial and then seeing it in a magazine. So it is not stupid, it is the slogan. Also, I don't have a problem with them, and I don't think it is a big deal as long as it keeps the site up and the cost for us free.

intamin101, on the banner they had up there, it said something along the lings of "XBox, the 4th dimension of game consoles" and to the right was the logo for X, the roller coaster. I found that pretty amusing. It might also be the XBox's slogan and maybe they felt the logo for X would go well there or something since X is a 4th dimension.

I dont see why everyoen has problems with this site's ads. The more ads they can get, the better content and stuff they will put up. Iy doesnt all just go into alex and romans pockets.

I think it's cool how the Xbox ad has the X logo in it. How is it any different than a company making a Super Bowl commercial that has football references in it? Come on guys, I know the popups are annoying, but they go to keep this site up, so they're worth it.

Perhaps the boards at thispagecannotbedisplayed would suit you better? Or maybe the ones at Danimation . I don't see the point in starting a thread complaining about the site you're signing at. It's a good idea to go to a different site now. Bye.

I don't mind the banner ads, some are quite interesting. However, pop-ads are of the devil. Pop-ups are the most annoying, most frustrating, most nefarious ads ever created. Then, to make it worse, the companies with the pop-ups have banner ads on the same page I got the pop-up. That makes me doubly mad.
