| | | What's next to come??? Okay, now we have a floorless coaster, 4-D coaster, flying coaster, this coaster and that coaster! WHAT ELSE CAN THEY DO??? Have we come to our end of inventing different coasters? What the heck else can they do?? Tell me because i have thought about what else they could do but i keep on drawing up a blank. Being realistic now what else can they do??

I think they said this when Magnum came out....and when B:TR came out...and when Millenium Force came out....and when X came out....Off the top of my head I can't think of anything more they can do. But that's why I don't work for B&M, Arrow, Intamin, Premier, Giovanola, Togo, Morgan, S&S, Setpoint, CCI, GCI, etc. When they come up with whatever is the next step (They will), we'll be pleasantly surprised and then asking this same question again. It's the never ending cycle. |

| | | Every time a new coaster comes out, some people think that we've built every concievable type of coaster. Already, people in the various coaster companies are thinking up new designs and ideas.

| | | We, as humans, basically just have it in our blood to keep at it. Everything is always just kept being made better. I mean, look at defense technology. The US could probably stop where it is right now and be safe, but yet, we keep perservering because that is what humans do. Its the same with coasters. The human imagination is HUGE, and when there are so many people involved in this field, its a wonder that so many ideas are NOT conceived of. I really think that coasters will just keep on going until they become old-fashioned or are replaced by some kind of virtual reality. That is my prediction.

| | | Moving to General Talk... Well, the Pipeline is a good example of what may come -- you're more "inside" the track. Maybe something "free range" where instead of restraints, you're like in a padded cage and you *really* get some airtime -- like all the way up to the ceiling. Who knows what will happen, but it will be one great ride finding out!

| | | Magnets, and I'm not LIM/LSM I'm talking about restraints. Have you ever seen contact? Jodie Fosters caracter get's strapped in with magnets (i think). Just imagine the fear when you sit down in a chair and the ride starts! you would have to wear a suit the whole day but we could get an actual standup-inverted w/out discomfort to guys. It's just an idea, many people have many others and some will become reality while others (like mine) won''t come true any time soon. I have an idea that I'm not going to share (patent pending :D ) that is VERY plausible and CAN be done with a little work. It's something B&M would do. But I'll do it first.

| | | If we had this discussion in 93 (even though the internet and this site weren't around then) after B:TR, people would have said that there were no more new innovations left. But along comes hypertwisters, floorless, giga, 4-d, and flyers (and much more). There is an endless possibility to thoughts and imagination when the human mind is the start. |

| | | Pipeline question.
I saw something on TLC or something a while back about this. I want to say it is an Arrow design. At the time of the prototype, they were trying to determine clearance for your hands and head. So first, is Pipeline under Arrow, and 2, how is this differet from a heartline coaster (ex. RCT)?

| | | Mag-lev coasters are a great idea but don't expect to see them for 40-50 years, although they exist there are reasons you can't make a pratical coaster out of them. A full size prototype mag-lev train in japan holds the speed record i think.........it's about 450mph, so you could expect some awesome coasters hopefully in our lifetime.
Realistically i think pipelines are going to made next (properly not just prototypes, and more dark coasters at some point (still extremly rare) |

| | | Doesn't it have to coast to be a coaster? I would like to see a return of the interactive coasters ala Gemini and Soap Box Derby Racers. Something where the actual ride is only part of the fun.
