What was your take on the Grammys last night? The people, the performances, the winners... discuss it all here...
Here was my take:
I this Alicia Keys is great and all but Maybe 5 (is that how many she got) was a little TOO much.. One of those should have went to India.Arie.... seven nominations and nothing? kinda mean.
Best Shortform Music Video - Spike Jonze' Fatboy Slim "Weapon Of Choice" Could not agree more but I was quite disappointed that some better videos weren't nominated, I always am. Coldplay's "Trouble" should have.
Best Album - Where art thou brother art of thou where who arts thou who the hell cares about that album!!!!!!?????????? I'm sorry but that got me really pissed.. they always piss me off with that award :(
Nsuck's performance... Can we get a ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...... We can thank them for another bad performance... I guess not as bad as "POP" at last years VMAs, nothing can top how bad that sucked. "Would you be my girlfriend, illl treat you good" Those are the best lyrics i have heard in the longest time! :rolleyes: What in the world was Nelly doing out there??
Elevator music.... okay how stupid are we? Yeah some acceptance speaches are long but just take the MTV approach and let em finish! Instead of making it look like a joke kicking them off the stage with elevator music...
Best Rap Album - STANKONIA! Outkast won a grammy! I was happy about that, if they didn't get an award I would have been mad. I believe they won two
I missed seeing Britney Spears but who I did see was Christina Aguilera and she wasn't lookin the greatest...
If train won I would have been mad... I hate Drops of Jupiter but luckily they didnt
Best New Artist - I wanted Linkin Park to win so bad! They always give it damn pop stars and Linkin Park is arguably the biggest group of the year with their debut album STILL in the top 5 after how long?? At least they got one, I think for Crawling. But maybe thats a good thing, you know what they say about new artists... But Alicia Keys is very deserving
Finally an award show with out Macy Gray, she's always there spaced out like she just smoked a blunt, forgetting her lines, getting stuck to the chair (mtv awards) or something...
Staind should have been nominated thats just wrong. :mad:
TOOL WON FOR "SCHISM"!!!!!!!!!!! But they decided not to air it!!!! :mad: It's like the first Rap award all over again... they did it to Deftones last year too. Makes me hate pop and award shows more. Metal not good enough? At least Slipknot didnt win
