eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwww. Dreadlocks are ugly, but if you like you like them. I suggest you go to a place in your area that does them or find a good friend to do it for you. That's the only advise i can give you.

I personally don't like them, but if you do, go to a hair place and get them. Also, if you wanna get rid of them soon, just to let you know, shaved heads are becoming popular down here in my little corner of the earth (though I'd never shave mine, I like my hair, and I don't want sunburn on my scalp).

If you get them, you have to re-twist them every week or so because 1. they start to get undone and 2. you hair still grows under them. You need to put oil in them (or something like that) every week.

If you want to get rid of them, you have to chop them off.

I'm not saying "don't get them", I'm just telling you something about dred-locks maintenance.

Go for the "Mighty Fighting Mullet" that can swiftly untwist the "Locks of Gloom." Hehe, man I have way too much free time. Get the mullet.

I think dredlocks look pretty bad. I would get something else, if I were you.

I used to want them myself, and you can use hand soap and beeswax to get them, it makes them more cleanly, as in without as much hair sticking out all over the place, more confined. Personally though, I don't like them like I used to, they've just gotten a little too big, and it's nothing new anymore like it used to be.

Dread locks are pretty ugly but if you like them go ahead and get them. I think all you have to do is stopp washing your hair and don't comb it. I'm serious too. You could just go to a salon and have fake ones put in like they did on "becoming" when the group was becoming incubus

Im not a big fan of the big old grungy dreadlocks, but I had some a while back I was quite fond of. Just twist your hair into locks, put a lot of gel on it, and use one of those heater clamp thingies (Got it from my sister) and let it dry. They should last 3 days...then just repeat!

I have short hair, and i think it looks kind of cool to get like rubberbands and tie hair together, that looks cool, but not with longer hair.

It takes a long time, one year for this kid. He poured candle wax on his hair(LOL), and started twisting them, twisting them, until one year later, then he look like Jacob from O-town! Try to test on a little patch of hair before you do your whole head. And I think SHORT dreads are nice!

and BTW, how do you take a shower with dreads?
