Blade 2

I just got back from seeing this Movie. This is the greatest movie I have seen in a long time. People you have got to see it. From beginning to end it was nonstop action. On a scale of 1-10, I'd give it 9.5 I only took off half cause in one of the fights it was too much like the WWF, but overall a great movie. So what do you think?

on a scale of 10, 6.5

certainly a worthy compliement to the original, though not nearly as distinctive. what happens is fairly predictable from the start, but i suppose that wasn't the point. the movie is tightly woven together with a great pace and comic book feel--even moreso than the original. however, it follows the current trend of editing the action sequences so choppy and quick i think i have epilepsy. just show it to me, don't make it incoherent! anyways, overall a very good, but not great, film.

I rank it a good solid 7. Much better than the 4 I ranked the original at. There were a few things I didn't like however...

My #1 urk was the stupid wrestling moves thrown into the fighting...ultra cheezy in my opinion.

#2 problem...the way the action scenes had a little too much CG done. Granted it was no where near as pathetic as Mortal Kombat Annhilation CG fight scenes, but it was far enough to tell that they were fake.

#3 problem was the timeline. They never explained how Whistler ended up with the Vampires when in the first you were lead to assume he shot himself...this was never fully explained, thus throws you for a curve first thing.

#4...last but not least....WHERE WERE YOU???? It starts you in Prague, then your back at the old hide out, then your in some other place....what was going on...this truly never made since to me. Were we always in prague till the ending where it shows "London" or what? I simply had a hard time figuring that one out.

I do have to agree with mrk468zz on the point of predictability.

Overall, massive improvement over the original, but still far from exceptional.

Blade II was pretty cool. It was also pretty gory. Those things with the mouths were pretty cool, though. There were also obvious satires of pro wrestling and fighting video games and I found that pretty amusing. It also seemed a bit Matrix-ish. The film was pretty much non-stop action which sorta got old for me after a while.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead!!!

I think my favorite part was when Blade said "One, I was on to you since day one. Two, it's not a dud." Then he blew that kid up and just stood there! I thought that was awesome. The only thing that would make that scene better was if there was one guy left standing on the catwalk above him and that guy said, "DAMN!" That would be so cool because that's the perfect thing to say there! That was by far the coolest scene in the film! The ending was also pretty neat. That stupid guy was killed by his son and then Blade had to kill the woman he obviously had the hots for. She died weird, too. All the other vampires blew up quickly in the sun, and she sorta just flaked apart. I wouldn't have touched her cheek like he did. Nasty.

haven't seen the movie, but the music is really weird. Rap and techno don't mix.
