Dragon ball z is the stupidest thing ever. (i am stating my opinion so dont get all mad). I cant see how people watch it....i hear that they show disgusting scenes in some videos. I also hear about all these nasty porn sites of them. (ewww)

I never watched any type of Japanese animation show, like Pokemon, Dragonball Z, Sailor Moon, etc. My brother watches those kinds of shows sometimes and they seem pretty dumb.

thanks edh101985 for your opinion it was greatly appreciated. But just let me say this there is more fans that watch dbz than any other show in history. Just look at the Lycos top 50 and you can plainly see how many people watch dbz. Yes it is true that they show "disgusting scenes" but that is only in the japanese versions, since they edit a bunch of stuff that little kids like you cant watch. All of this is of course my opinion so dont get mad. Now can we please get back on topic about the dbz movie.

I'm not at all a fan of the series, but it makes perfect business sense for FOX to do this. even if the movie tanks in america, its got a worldwide brandname buit in that will vitually guarantee a profit, so its an almost risk-free venture.

having said that, i think its a terrible idea. how can you possibly translate anime into a live action incarnation? it takes away a fundamental aspect of why these shows work. sure this idea might be gold on paper, and i hope they know what they're doing, but anime is about the drawing, plain and simple. i don't think it will work.

(and on a side note, i laughed out loud when FOX took credit for the success of star wars, hoping to establish dragonballz as a franchise like sw--how's that, FOX, a franchise you have no control over, get nothing but a pittance from, and have no involvement whatsover? riiiiight. but i digress.)

anyways, we'll see if and when this gets made. its been fast-tracked, but this kind of think could get stuck in development h3ll so very, very easily. anyways, i do hope they do it right, and do it well, and the fans out there get what they want. here's hopin'.

im 18, but lets stop fighting i dont want this to turn into some flame war, i have pro's and con's about this movie. FOX did a pretty good job with X-Men, even though they changed alot about the characters. My opinion is that they will do the same thing, because how can you get somebody's hair to be like vegeta's?
