8 Simple Rules...

... for Dating my Teenage Daughter!

I realize the first episode came out this past Tuesday, but I thought it was one of the most hilarious modern shows I've seen in a long time.

John Ritter finally has a role that fits him, and the supporting cast were all good as well. It packs in real situations, humor, and a clean script all into one, and the final product was perhaps the best new comdedy of the fall.

So what are your opinions on 8SRFDMTD?

(Oh yeah, it comes on ABC- Tuesdays at 8 PM/7 PM(Central).

It was allright. I certainly didn't think it was one of the funniest modern shows but it had its parts. This seems like a show destined to be canceled though. Life with Bonnie was pretty good. But the real story is Push, Nevada. I love this show. Very creative and freaky.

I was rather surprised with this show. I watched it just because it was the only new show on at that time and found it to be very funny. And you're right Brogium, Push is a great show. It has a very Christopher Nolan-esque(Memento, Following, Insomnia) story with some Guy Ritchie-esque(Snatch, Lock Stock...) camera tricks! One problem with that show... if it does well, how are they going to have a second season? Shove, Arizona perhaps?:p

If they did have another season nothing would live up to Push, Nevada. That name is great. I still don't understand how a view can actually win the money but we'll see how it goes. By the way try looking at www.pushtimes.com, its kind of interesting.

I don't get to see Push, Nevada.... I have football games Thursday nights...

I doubt it'll be canceled, though. It targets a certain audience, and it's good enough so that they'll kepp watching it. I've spoken with several teens and adults who have all agreed it was great.

"Dad... do you think I'm pretty?"

I thought 8 simple rules was great. Life with Bonnie was a snoozefest for me. Not funny at all. I agree about Push, Nevada. That kept me in front of the TV. A great show.

I predict this show will have 8 simple episodes, and then it will be canceled.

LOL Raptor! Very funny. I watched the first CSI Miami and really enjoyed it. Looks like Law and Order and CSI is going to take over dramatic television.

I don't know about that, I think the first episode got 21 million viewers...
Anywho, I really like the new Hidden Hills show for those who saw it, so far that's the best new comedy, and the best new drama has been Push with Firefly in second place.

Raptor:

If it continues to have 20 million+ simple viewers, I *doubt* it will be canceled. ;)

I watched CSI Miami, but it was boring to me. However, Alias (Jennifer Garner- woo hoo!) and The Practice seem to be off to a good start.

Boomtown on NBC is also supposed to be great...
