its a real phenomenon. theres a sega genesis game called zero wing that was made in japan. they imported it over here and they did a horrible job translating the opening cut scene. thereare lines like "all your base are belong to us" and "somebody has set up us the bomb" its really funny. if you search aruond things, you might be able to find the famous quote. i know in halo, it pops up and also in max payne it can be found. here is a site showing you - http://www.planettribes.com/allyourbase/index.shtml

Its basically the internet's biggest inside joke. Its fun to say because only certain people know what it means, and others are just confused by it.. but, it started in early 2001 and died shortly after. For most people, its gotten old, but its still fun to say. This Newgrounds page will tell you everything you need to know about All Your Base... Newgrounds made it famous, anyway: http://www.newgrounds.com/collections/ayb.html

One of the internet's big short lived fads was "All your base" along with Slap a Spice Girl and Purple Dinosaur Massacre. For a real laugh though, you've got to see Yatta. There is a whole thread devoted to this silly Japanese parody of boy bands. |

I remember that phrase from back around 1997-1998, and it was common around hackers, crackers, phreakers, etc. It has seemed to die off lately, mainly because people beat it to death.

Sorry Kraken, I'm just not into terrible video games... but if that's your knack, run with it.
