| | | The RIAA is coming to get you....everyone read this. The RIAA has been very serious and is putting lawsuits out on ANYONE that downloads music. They are calling AOL, and many companies demanding names and accounts of people downloading music. This is very serious.....
The RIAA has HANDCUFFED several HUNDRED teenagers and arrested them and every day a new list of 100 people is being given to them.
Just a friendly warning because its all over the news....and their biggest target? Kazaa users.

| | | Really? Communists flew a jet plane over California and started parachuting murderers into the Pamona Alfalfa fields.
Anyone can say anything they want on the Internet. I'd like to have a link to where you got this information, please.
Give us a source for this and let us check it out, or else this report really has zero credability.

Wow. I didn't know the Recording Industry of America had it's own police force that could just barge into the homes of whoever had their name on a list.
I need sources here slipknot.

| | | Well I guess people that download just need to look through the peep hole on their door. If you see cops, don't let them in. Unless they are full fledged warrants they can't do anything if you do so.

| | | How about you just use KaZaA++. It stops scans from the RIAA and there isn't all that spyware and advertisements. It has some cool built in features too.I think the website is kazaalite.tk

| | | Shut the hell up Kraken, some of your posts are downright crap! Try to be serious for once.
Slipknot, I was talking with Steven about this very thing a while back. Who do you think the RIAA is going to be after more, someone who only has 400 MB of songs (like me) or someone that has 10 GB of songs. I'm safe from this. Besides, once I hit 700MB, I transfer it to CD-R and delete the songs from my hard drive.

I was being downright serious, dude. Since a lot of people are worried about the RIAA, there have been many rumors and such floating around about people being arrested and all that. If we can get a link or something to a CNN newspage, then fine, it's true-but if slipknot said this because Billy at the Gas Station told him, then it's probably not to be believed.:)

| | | You can't get a virus from a real music file(i.e. .mp3, .wav, etc.). Just watch out for "fake" music that are really .exe files or .vbs. I have seen some files that say mp3.vbs just to trick you. |

| | | The reason KazAa isn't illegal, is because they provide a service that allows people to exchange files. Including sound, picture, movie ect. It is not their fault if people illegally exchange copyrighted music, because they are not the ones doing it. At least thats how it was explained to me.

| | | Having Kazaa or these other programs itself is not illegal, it's downloading copywrited songs that are.
Personally, I think the RIAA is just alienating themselves. Instead of working against music fans, they should work with them, and see what they can work out. While this may work for some people, they can go back to bootlegging off of the radio or something like that (that's what we used to do before MP3s came along). In addition, record sales will just drop further because of the RIAA backstabbing the people they depend on the most. |

| | | This is nothing compared to what my friends do. I won't tell you, mostly because the police would break down my door if I told you.
I tried KAZAA once, too slow.

| | | I'm not worried...I don't have a lot of music and like CP_M said I don't they they would go after me when loads of people have gigabytes of music.
