| | | Click Send Error report then in about 20 seconds it will come up with a screen and then there is a blue underlinded line....I forget what it says. Click on it and then it will tell you how to fix the problem and why it occured. If it just recently started happening think about what programs might have been installed or edited. I get it with internet explorer a lot when I play windows media videos. It then linked me to a site where I found a codec and now it works. |

| | | WMI? Do you have the slightest clue of what program it is? You may have spyware. I think there is a site that checks spyware for you. I will PM you the link if I can find it. Look at what back round programs are running also. If it's gator, uninstall it NOW.

| | | It you’re getting it about every two minutes then it has to be a background program. Try seeing what programs are running. you can do this by Ctrl+Alt+Delete. See it there is a program called WMI or wmi.exe if there is try cosing it. if there’s not one running try doing a windows search for a file named wmi.exe (it may be a program that is being shelled to).
EDIT: you might want to search for a file called autoexec.bat if you find this file try opening it with notepad and see if a file called wmi.exe is listed.

| | | WMI is a DLL and is part of Windows. Chances are, something is missing or corrupt, or something such as spyware might've taken it over.
