McDonald's Monoply Peces...ebay

Check this out http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3152290849&category=768. Seems like someone is selling a Boardwalk and Tennessee Avenue game piece. The current bid is $1,250,100. Now tell me....why is it going for that much??? The boardwalk+park place= $1,000,000. But that still leaves $250,100. The NY Avenue+St James+Tennessee Avenue wins the Bose Audio system....Is that worth $250,100....NO. Yesterday the bids were around $800,000. Is this a hoax? Or maybe someone manufacturing the pieces gave it to a family member to sell? I find it hard to be fake, because the seller wont get very far scamming people for over a million bucks! The winner of this auction is losing money. Whats going on here?

I've seen weirder things on eBay. Some people sell their identity.

Interesting idea, I'm surprised no one has done this before.

I'm way lost to. The bidding is now up to 2.5 million with a day to go. The picture on the ad has something fuzzed out. Is it an old expiration date from a prior game. Looking at his feedback, he's sells mostly **'s and things.

I've got it bookmarked to see where the bidding ends.

The thing blurred out is a barcode that most likely is used to identify that is the correct piece. Although I really dont see how someone can be so stupid not to know how much their worth......

If it's someone playing a joke, they're going to be suprised by the eBay fees on 2.8Million.

To place a bid of US $15,000.00 or more, you'll need to provide a valid credit card or complete the ID Verify process ($5).

Um sure ok. The blurred pic is done on purpose and is obviously a FAKE.

The picture of the piece is of a current game piece. I compared it to the ones I have and what is blurred are numbers, most likely for identification as edh said.

If it is real, then why are the identification blurred? Sounds like someone is trying to hid something.

It loks exactly like the ones I have...this person could just be worried that the number could be stolen for some reason...just a precaustion in my opinion...

Current bid: US $3,100,100.00

I'm sure eBay has some kind of robot that lets them when bidding reaches a minimum level so that they can monitor it.
