I am so pissed!

Okay, this is a gigantic rant, sorry for any veterans of war and what not, I am very pissed off. And here it goes:

This year, we must celebrate veterans day by our school day off on Tuesday. Why does this piss me off? Because, a 3 day weekend would be way better. Lets look at the reasons:

1. What the hell? Seriously. This pisses me off so much. We have a regular weekend, then we have a day of school. WHY? I would way rather have a 3 day weekend. It makes your weekend 50% longer. Not to mention you get to party: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 3 day weekends kick ass. So what is the problem with Tuesday?

2. Tuesday sucks! So we go to school for a day, then get a day off. What's wrong with that, EVERYTHING. For sure, teachers will LOAD you with Homework and endless crap. Plus, it's just one day off. You have school the next day rather than having the days linked together to create a mega weekend. So yay, go to school tired and *****y on Monday, get loads of homework, get a day off on Tuesday and attempt to get it done. What bullcrap. Party.......Monday night? Tuesday is right smack dab in the middle of everything. Monday will suck, having Tuesday off is the BS of my whole year so far. Why?

3. Stop whining veterans: I know we should "Honor them" but look how many people die in wars, look at the war in Iraq. Oh jeez, we need to have days off to remember them. Ok so we need to reconize the people that helped defend our "freedom". Okay whooptey doo. I'm almost positive a lot of those veterans want us to live happy lives. If they weren't so whiney, then I would be happy with Monday off. Get a life, the world doesn't revolve around you. Pisses me off. Wow, lets celebrate Christmas JUST on the day, and have 2 random weeks off in January! Yay! Makes no sense. Complete BS.
(Sorry to any people who know veterans, it pisses me off very much so.

I just hate this. It's incredibly rediculous. I could care less either. Now I am thankful we get a day off, but seriously, WHY do we need to "honor" them on the specific day. Even so, if our school did a even to honor them, a lot more people would show up/care even more than if we didn't go to school. So what am I going to do?

Well, Monday is School Wide cut day. So attempt one is just to cut school. I could care less. It's not like anything would get accomplished then. I could care less. My effort percentage for school is rapidly dropping. And we have the day off on Tuesday.

Hey you know what, since we have Tuesday off, why don't the veterans just tell the teaching force not to give homework! Then we can go out and "honor" more. Why don't we just get a whole WEEK off! So we can do even MORE honoring!

This is complete BS.

Sorry for the rant. This pisses me off.

My school use to have teacher conferences on thursday, then we'd come back to class on friday. I say just suck it up. That's the way it goes. No sense in complaining b/c that won't change anything.

When I was in highschool and gradeschool, we still went to school on Veteran's day, but come college, we had it off. Since this seems to be a planned day off in the school year, I highly doubt the teachers will load you with any more homework than what you are used to. I wouldn't cut that Monday. Teachers do have a history of giving high credit pop quizzes that can't be made up.

These Veterans are those that got through Vietnam, Korea, WWI and II, plus the Gulf War and the current situation in Iraq. To complain about a day off like you have shows just how selfish today's youth really is.

Why don't you take the day off to go visit a Veteran's home and tell them what you just wrote here. Maybe it will helpl you see things differently, then again, as bullheaded as you are, maybe not.

I'm sorry, but boo hoo. At least you get the day off, and it's not like your even going to care during that day off. So what if it's on a Tuesday? Any day off school is a plus in my opinion.

You still got the day off..... Shouldn’t that be enough? And if teachers give you some extra work it’s the least you could do. It’s not nearly as big of a sacrifice as the veterans made. What a selfish thing to say....

actually it would make it 33% longer.

anyways, today was veterans day? i could have sworn we got off today because it was election day. well for some reason, we didnt have school today but yesterday i only had 3 classes (out of 10) anyways so we barelly had any school anyways. but then again, since i know what i want to do with my life, and getting good grades in school will not make such a big differance, i dont really do homework anyways.

actually it is 50% sfgadvking...cuz half the weekend is one day, so one extra day to the weekend increases it by 50%. I am finished now...

But seriously, I am very sick of school right now. I'm not doing any homework, or studying, I am just giving up.

Like I said, I know it was deep. And I have cooled down a bit. I was just pissed at first. It was kind of upsetting to me.

saturday=50% of weekend
sunday=50% of weekend

if monday was included:
saturday=33.33333% of weekend
sunday=33.33333% of weekend
monday=33.33333% of weekend
