I saw Angelina Jolie Today!

I met her just outside a Walgreen's by my house today. She was even hotter in person. It was the weirdest thing ever to see her in front of a Walgreen's.

Was she just shopping or what? That's crazy. Did you talk to her or anything? I defenetley would. Sometimes I get nervous sometimes with famous people. I didn't see anyone special, but I did get Cedric Gracia's signature, and had a chat with him. (He's the worlds #1 Downhill Mountain biker, not "cool" by todays standards  )

That's pretty weird, was she doing something charity or just there?

Oh, my sister also used George Lucas' credit card at her job. She works at gap kids and he came in and bought some stuff. My sister helped him out and used his credit card. When she came home, she came over to me and said: "Kyle (my Name) I think I met that dude who made star wars or whatever, what's his name?" Me: "Umm....George Lucas?" "Yeah! I met him, helped him shop, and used his credit card" Me; (I then just gave her a blank stare with my mouth open.)

Which Walgreens? I want to see how far it is from one I go to. I really wonder why she would be in Marietta..... Mabe she has a house????? Or she could be visiting family for Thanksgiving. Who knows.... My mom once saw Diana Ross outside her house before. She got her autograph. Although its really not like she saw her at a place you would never expect....

And a big "Woopdie-Crap!" goes up from the crowd!

No, um, I care. I saw John Goodman buying Potato Chips once. I was gonna say something, but hey, he just wants his potato chips, you know?

And I swear to God this couple in line for Millennium Force looked like Steve and Cokie Roberts, for true.

Wow, you'd think celebrities were actually like, real people too... Anyway, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were at a local mall here a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't have cared less. In fact, I feel sorry for celebrities like that, being hounded by everyone simply because they have a high profile. Must suck to not be able to go out shopping or to the drugstore without having people gawk at you.

I must agree Melissa. They are just people who have skills in a certine area. Just as you (Melissa) have skills as a teacher. Here, in Vancouver, there are tons of stars about. Right now, Wesly Snipes is here filming Blade Trinity. Halley Berry is here filming Catwoman, Will Smith just finnished filming I, Robot. Theres that new movie with Ben Aflec (i think) called Paycheck, which was filmed in Vancouver. Jenifer Lopez and Ben were here for a few months filming different movies. I have heard stories of people seeing them at blockbuster renting some DVD's.

And on the topic of meeting people, my dad saw Jessica Alba in an elveator in a Vancouver office building when she was here filming Dark Angel.

And I saw Sam Cassel on my plane to Baltimore when I was going on my Coaster Extravanganza 2003. but did I talk to him? No, becuase i wouldnt like random people to come up to me saying "arent you that dude that plays basketball and stuff?" or horny teenage guys coming up to me (if i was a woman) saying "dude..you're like, the hottest chick ever, acting like Ashton Kutcher. I would have to slap them. I mean, its cool and all to see a celeb in person, but I feel weird going up and talking to them. They have their own business to take care of that doesnt include you.

Whenever I see someone famous I just yell something like "GORDIEEEE!!!" (For when I see Gordie Howe. We actually kind of know each other, but if I run into him somewhere in a crowd I'll just yell "GORDIEEE". He has a place by me in Traverse City, Michigan and I've ran into him enough times where we'll chat for a few minutes.)

If I see someone I don't like you'll get something like "SAKIC YOU SUCK!!!!" (For the time I saw Joe Sakic when I was at a hotel doing some work).

I can't remember seeing any good looking female celebrities, but I'm sure that I could come up with something witty to say.

The only celebrity I've seen is Johnathan Winters, but I was only 5 months at the time. Some friends of mine ran into Britney Spears here in town, and my parents have seen a lot of celebrities here, although most incidents occured before I was born.

Who really cares? They pretend to be somebody they're not in front of a camera. Somehow that makes them royalty!

i don't really feel sorry for celebrities, they eat up all the attention they get, and if they complain about it, its just them wanting more of it

I didn't want to bother her, so I didn't say anything. Edh, it was the one on Piedmont and Roswell Road.

Although celebrities are people too, you don't expect to see an Oscar winning actress by herself in front of your neighborhood Walgreen's all by herself without anything like sunglasses or a hat on to conceal her identity.

I'm the same way about a lot of celebrities -- I might be able to match up a face to a movie I've seen (which isn't many, usually), but typically the name eludes me. I don't consider it that vital, really, but to each his own.

I saw Tom Petty at the Beach one time...I gave him a beer.
I met Ian McKye from Fugazi walking down the street from a show they were playing.

I've also been to Inner Ear studios. That's the studio that most everything dischord has either been recorded, mixed, or mastered at. The guy that mastered our 2 songs (woulda been the whole album if our old studio guy didn't screw 8 tracks up by doing a "simulated" master) works there....he did the Fugazi re-masters that just came out not too long ago.
