Driving Test Troubles

Well, after my second shot at the driving test, I unfortunatley failed, again. I'm starting to get upset as I will never pass it. So I was wondering what you're drive test troubles were, if you had any.

I don't know, I was quite angry when my instructor failed me today (12/1/03). Everything was perfect, and he even said my driving was near perfection, I just forgot to look over my shoulder once during my test. He mentioned to me that unfortunatley, that's what happens.

With that said, that was my second try. My first try totally sucked and I knew what to focus on, I came into the test thinking I perfectly had it wrapped up. I sorta did, it's just theres only so much I can remember. I got very frustrated as to how I could forget such a thing. But my dad mentioned most driver instructors can let it slide, and I just got one that fully backs up the rules, granted most of them do, but I guess mine decided to be very, very strict about it.

Now my third test is coming up. Which raises too many doubs. I just seems that I can't pass at all. I know I will eventually, it just seems so doubtfull to me. There's only so much I can remember when I take the test. Granted you learn best from your mistakes, Hopefully next time around, I should do okay. I'm taking it at a different DMV to hopefully get better luck. It's coming up soon. (December 18th, but that may be a final day so I may need to re-schedule.)

I'm allways pissed off at first, but then I get calm, so I decided to wait it off and post when I'm calm. And I am now. The only thing that gets me angry is how much friends pressure you into getting your license. This dumb kid in my class thinks driving is everything, and constantly makes fun of me. While I typically just lay back and watch him bicker, today I snapped at him. I guess it's not the fact that I know I can improve that made me fail, it's just the dumb heavily reliance of owning your license that is driven in most teens that annoys me.

Failing twice brings up too many doubts for me. But the more I look at it, I can proabobly improve more and more. And hopefully, the third time is a charm.

Back to the threads pourpose. Do you people have any experiences or troubles with the test?

KALIFORNIA!

I had problems with my learner's permit exam, because I never read the driver's manual. I failed it once and passed it again after I read it.

As for the actual driving test a year later, I passed the first time. You have to drive around two city blocks, and how you can stop at stop signs, yield the right-of-way, and use turn signals. Too bad it sounds asinine in KALIFORNIA.

My friend actually never took a written or driving test. I don't know how he pulled it off but he got his full liscence without doing a thing. It involved some gullabel people who praise this guy because he is a famous actor (well somewhat famous).

Enh, driving sucks. At least I hate it. I didn't get my learner's permit until I was 16 and my license when I was 17. I don't use it too often now. I really only use my license to drive when I need practice. Driving still makes me really nervous. I just don't like doing it.

Don't let the pressure get to you. You don't have to get your license now. That guy who's bugging you is just a jerk. One thing you really should do is review your mistakes and the driving booklet/manual thing. Even if you know it, just review it. Every little bit helps. And do some more driving with your folks, if you can. It'll help.

I actually got busted for that the other day driving with the driving instructor guy. "Not checking my blind spot" he said. Oh well. Better luck next time, and go to a different place than the one you failed at. Hopefully the next guy won't be such a hard-ass.

I'm taking my test on Christmas Eve (yes, they are open that day; I allready have my appointment). I should do fine since I'm in Georgia.

About your test, did he count off because you went into the bicycle lane without looking or did he count off because you made a right turn without looking. Because, if it was for a right turn, that seems kind of stupid consitering when you make a right turn, there's nothing that could be in your way since there is no more road.

leeloo, I still have to parallel park in my test. However, the test is designed so that if you do everything else perfectly, you can still pass if you bomb the parallel parking.
