| | | Current Employment This is just a poll wondering what everyone's current job is. Not what you're studying for, what you dream of, or what you will be doing in ten years... What are you doing today? If unemployed, why, and do you want that to change?
For me, I work for the City of Jacksonville in the public library; it's part time, but perfect for me -- great schedule, challenging work, attention to details, etc. I love it! I'm also simultaneously working on my own business (a venture I began just over four months ago, but I'm still superstitious so I won't say too much about it).

| | | I am doing factory. Keep in mind that I am handling the bags that eventually will contain kitty litter, pet food, Krispy Kreme doughnut mix, water crystals, farm animal feed, concrete mix. Just to name a few.

| | | I work at a bowling alley...it sucks. I clean tables and crap like that which isn't bad work, but it's a lot of work divided by long periods of intense boredom. It also screws up my school schedule but I'm living with it. I used to work at this park which has a few rides during the summer but I decided to work at the bowling alley this summer. I definatly will be working at the park again this summer.

| | | Currently I am unemployed because I'm not allowed to get a job for fear that my grades could slip, but once I graduate, everyone can wave hi to me at Cedar Point over the summer.

| | | I'm a lifeguard at a pool. 6 hours of doing nothing, really, really sucks.
I get paid a lot, but seriously, I do cleaning work to keep me busy. The hardest part of my job is fighting the boredom. While all of you say "Oh looking at a pool and sitting all day sounds easy" Time goes by slower than school. I'd almost like to say i'd rather be at school.
With that said, it's not the actual job, it's the way my community managment looks as lifeguarding as. Other pools do 15 minute rotations. We don't have rotations. So I get to sit in the SAME place for a hour, then get a ten minute break. Basically the managment looks at our jobs like we are babysitters.

| | | I am currently unemployed. The coasterseason ended, and so did my contract as a ride operator at Six Flags Holland. I haven't really felt like finding a new job, because I'll be having some "bodywork" done. One of my knees will be operated in January. :(
How do I pay the bills? I'm just trying to make some money working as a freelance webdeveloper, and that's going quite well at the moment. Not the best possible job though, very irregular income. |

| | | I currently work for a background investigation company, but its not very much; low pay, low hours and the boss is kinda weird, but it pays the bills.
Anyway I'm still looking for something with better pay and benefits.

| | | I'm in sales. I work for a company that manufactures identification products for circuit boards and cable harnessing. The job lets me travel all over the country. This summer I was able to hit SFGAm, Sea World Florida, and Knott's Berry Farm. I didn't even have to pay for it. Next summer I hoping to hit SFGAdv and the Texas parks.

| | | I work in a factory as a maintenance tech. I keep the machines running in the wee hours of the morning.
I know this post isn't for plans or dreams, but I'm hoping my wife's nursing degree takes us to within close driving distance of a park. If it does, I'm going to bust my butt to get on as ride maintenance! |
