Ok now my friend was telling me the other day that canceling the entire NHL league. No this isn't because of the recent event where someone got punched and throw to the ground (neck was broken and the attacker was suspended for rest of the season). He was telling me that because NHL is doing so poorly that they might cancel it.

Is this true? I don't understand how they can cancel an entire sport but is this true or has anyone heard anythign similar?
