Weird Al's Parents found dead...

Article on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/Music/04/11/yankovic.parents.ap/index.html

So basically Weird Al's parents were found dead in their home...Carbon Monoxide poisoning.

I thought it was interesting...what do you guys think?
Do you like Weird Al?

Well that sucks that he lost both parents at the same time. At least both lived a long life and died together (i'd like to die with my wife).

I just missed seeing him at CP last year. Bummer.

I love his zany music parody, Weird Al is a very talkented musician who rides the accomplisments of others to make his carreer all the better...

That must suck. I would hate to lose both of them at the same time, because there is no one to really comfort you.

Weird Al did it.

Not. But I'm sure someone was going to say it, and by saracastically mocking them in advance, I hope to prevent such action.

Weird Al is an amusing, talented guy, and it sucks a big one for him. Carbon Monoxide is one slippery bastard, and is hard to know what the hell is going on without a detector. So I'm glad I had one....

That's really sad. I feel bad for him.

I do think he's pretty funny, but has seen his hay-day gone by. The only really funny song he's done in the past 5 years was the Star Wars Episode I take-off on American Pie (the song).

That's so sad.

On a lighter note, this guy I met last weekend used to be a stage tech at Wild Adventures. He told me that he and Weird Al went out to his trailer and shot arrows at a broken speaker box....oh, and that Al's wife is hot.

I'm nearly positive that Al is not married.

Anyways, just an FYI, but Wierd Al's dad was a star in his own right. He was one of the formost musician's in polka music, back in the day. Seriously, that was his thing. Make fun of it if you will, but to some, polka is the awesome.

Al married Suzanne Krajewski.

Weird Al's biography... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0946148/bio

Al is not related to Frankie Yankovic, but they were friends.

edit: and if anyone makes fun of polka music, then i'm going to...(well, you don't want to find out, lol)

Wow!

Everything I thought I knew is wrong.

Well, back to retraining for me.

FYI, the polka thing was told to me when Wierd Al played Heritagefest in New Ulm, Minnesota. It's a big polka town and festival and I asked why Wierd Al would play there. A bunch of people told me that it was cause his dad was some big polka star. Oh well. Just goes to show you can't trust the masses.

Again, sorry about my foolishness!

Hey Robert, do you wear funny pants and drive very small vehicles with the door in the front like Steve Erkel...
