Moving to Columbus, any Hints?

Hey folks,

I have a favor to ask all of you.

Have you any familiarity with Columbus Ohio? I'm looking for reccommendations regarding areas to live, areas to avoid, etc. My job is is Dublin and I would prefer to live close to work, but I know I can't afford Dublins ridiculous rental rates. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

I'm fairly familiar with Columbus. You might want to try out the Westerville area, which is Northeast of downtown. I hear it's less expensive than Dublin. You might also want to try Upper Arlington, which is due west of Ohio State and not too far from Dublin.

I used to live in Columbus and still have many friends who live in various areas. Westerville and Worthington aren't going to be much better in the way of rent prices. The north end of Columbus, above Morse Road is probably going to be ok. Hilliard will be a little pricey, but you may find some places there that will be ok price wise. Upper Arlington...might as well be in Dublin. The Polaris area is very nice, but a bit on the high side. If you don't mind driving, Reynoldsburg, Whitehall, the north end of Columbus and various parts of the East side are all fairly reasonable and decent areas.

Again....check out several areas. I highly recommend the North end of town since that will keep you fairly close to Dublin.

Hope this helps you in some way. If you have any more questions about Columbus, just ask.
