Sixflagsnews.com? What happened

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone knew what happened to www.sixflagsnews.com ? I have not been able to get to the site for some time now. Is there another site that took over its forums? thanks in advance.

Alrighty...I had talked to one of the mods there. After the transfer from the VB forums to the Invision, things were going quite downhill. Things like the profanity filter weren't used, and overall, the boards became one huge mess. The main site was hacked, and rather than fixing it, the administrator was just fed up with it, so he abandoned it.

That's all that I know.

That's really sad...SFN has always been a great place to check in on the latest news in the park industry.

I just sent the Publisher and email asking him to join our staff. :) He'd be a great addtion to our staff and less of a hassle for him to run his own site. Would be great to get a dedicated SF editor.

Yeah, it would be nice if they just came over here because it was a pretty good site for the most part.
for the most part.
With the quality of the forums falling outside "the most part".

READ: SFN would have been great if the forum members weren't idiots.

There are about 10 members that would be good to have on this site, and there weren't that many different people that posted so they are the majority.

I never liked that site. Most of the people were very rude, and just obsessed over sfgadv. And I seem to remember a lot of the members flaming TN since all the banned people from this site decided to go over there. And I think the mods allowed it, and may have even joined in on the flaming.

The website must have really ticked off a person for them to hack the site....

Sad to see it go, I just joined there last week... My only pet peeve was just too many SFGAv people. Well, I wish I could get some IM addresses of the members though.

That site was horrible. I had been a member for nearly 2 years, and it only went downhill. Pretty much in the same manner that Dent did (oh my bad, its fhuxd now.)

Too many idiots, and about every other post mentioned something about GADV. It was horrible... so bad that I would hate to see ANY of the staff over there come to this site.

Yep the site pretty much was going down hill. All the good members were leaving, the mods were getting extremely lazy, and all the new members really just ruined the boards. It's sad to see it go but I think the ones who actually cared about the site saw it comming. People were getting extremely rude and if you were to just see the boards like a year ago you would disagree. Since a last year the site went right down-hill, I mean if it were still be up now, just imagine what kind of mess it would be in. I don't know how many users like posted threads about there worries but It just seemed the Mods didnt care. What's up SFFT_Freak? Long time no see, you saw it comming too.....

I was a member of the site for about a year, same Screen Name as it is here. I've been a member here for awhile, just never really wanted to post. So, now that I've lost one of my main forum sites, I guess this site will do. ;)
