The chicken came first to lay the egg...but then the chicken was slaughtered for dinner that night and the egg was used for breakfast the next day...so it doesn't really matter, does it? lol

The Chicken, b/c I mean, what would keep the egg warm if the egg came first.

This is really simple. Its not much of a big problem anymore. Due to evolution, slowly over time, some reptile or soemthing turned into a chicken liek creature that turned int oa chicken over time and eventually you get a chciken, that lkays an egg, and makes more chickens.

This is so stupid, GOd created the chicken on the 5th day to lay eggs to make more chickens.

i'll take the easy way out and say a chicken and a egg simultaniously appeared next to each other out of nothing. unfortunitly the chicken was female, and the egg turned out to be female, so the chicken died out through lack of possibity to make(i should also point out that back then the chicken was the name of a giant dragon type creature that could kill humans easily, so its just as well that that happened. later, after god realized his mistake, he re disighned the chicken and made a male chicken and and egg simultaniously, which turned out to be female (this chicken was a 12 inch tall bird) and was able to mate successfully and live until this day. too bad that now humans force chickens to live in cages their entire life and are eaten as food and will be extint in 30 years.

Scientifically speaking, The Riddler is correct. According to the theory of evolution (which I believe to be a fact, not a theory) a creature which was borderline reptilian and chicken laid an egg with some sort of mutation, which then hatched and became the first creature that could be classified as a chicken. Therefore, the egg came first.

Of course, if you're going to take the religious approach, or at least the Christian one, then God created chicken, which then laid eggs, so the chicken came first. At least I think that's what the religious approach would be, I'm not really sure.

The Kraken came first, and he bossed the chickens around and created a chicken army.

Without getting into the complete lack of scientific evidence supporting the theory of evolution...

If you believe in God, then you believe that God made the animals first- not their eggs. Hence the chicken came first.

If you support the evolutionary point of view, it becomes kinda ambiguous. At what point does the animal become a chicken? And wouldn't it have been a chicken in the egg first? And where is the fossil record showing it's transmutations from whatchamacalit to chicken so that we can determine that point anyways?

if you beleive in evolution aat all, or even in the fact that once dinosaurs ruled the earth then you know that the egg came first. dinosaurs layed eggs for babies(that sounds stupid but i dont know hw else to phrase it) so theegg came first (even if it wasnt a chicken egg )
