| Loose the edge (rollercoaster riding)
I was wondering, do people loose the edge when it comes to rollercoaster riding? I haven't been to a amusement park in like three years. I want to go back but I'm on disability, looking for a job and am around 308 pounds. Should I just give up my love of scream machines and concentrate on something else? I'm also a bit scared to return to rollercoasters. I have type 2 diabeties (controlable with diet) and had an infection of the liver that was treated with IV antibiotics. I love coasters and I don't know what to do?! coastermills |

I think that after you get your weight back under control and if your doctor gives you the "all clear" then by all means get back on some coasters. But you have to know your own body and if you can't handle a little jarring of your body then you probably can't handle coasters right now.

Thats a sad story. I don't know what i would do if i could never ride coasters again. I guess it would just take on a new hobby to keep my mind off coasters.

I would try to get my health back under control before I started to ride roller coasters again. I would be very vey very sad if I couldn't ever ride a roller coaster again.

ever is a bit extreme. you have every chance of losing enough weight in a reasonable amount of time. if you are determined, you will do it.

Yeah it would be a major bummer if I had to stop riding coasters. But that's stating the obvious I guess since I'm on a coaster discussion board. he he post 2700... is that the Plastic Bag Anniversary?

I don't honestly see why Diabeties and a liver infection would affect you if you're riding a roller coaster. Read the sign before riding, if you have anything that would limit you from riding safely, then don't go on it. If you're worried ask your doctor about riding them. I know someone with type II and he can ride roller coasters all day, he just can't eat the park food. So he just puts all of his food in a cooler and eats it in the car. Just ask your doctor.

Yah, I mean...what would diabetes do? If your true passion is riding, go on a diet.

eh, i havent been on a coaster for about 11 months now and i havent been on a coaster that i really enjoyed riding in about 14 months, purely out of choice. if you really cant stand it, go ride one and dont worry about the other stuff.
