Man gets shot....By Puppy??

"Police in Pensacola, Fla, were shocked after finding out that a man who was trying to shoot seven puppies ended getting shot by one of them. One of the shepherd-mix puppies that Jerry Allen Bradford, 37, was holding was trying to wiggle its way out of his arms when its paw touched the trigger causing the .38-caliber revolver to discharge. The man was shot in the wrist and treated in a local hospital. Bradford, who admits to shooting the puppies because he couldn't find them a home, was charged with felony animal cruelty."

I love it when people do "fall on their own knife" type accidents. At least he was putting the dogs out of their misery when he couldn't find them a home.

What a goon. How hard could it possibly be to kill a couple puppies?

Seriously, people who hurt animals are sick. I hate them.

I grew up on a farm with dairy cattle. Because of that, we had tons of cats. My dad's job all through his years growing up was to find the baby kittens, put them in a bag and drown them in the creek. We had at least 100 cats. It's not like getting them fixed was a viable solution. I have nothing but sympathy for the guy. Killing animals is not fun and very difficult when neccessary. Just what Old Yeller and you'll know what I mean.

Yea, that's right. You can say that since you know this guy personally and know his whole situation.

the guy was doing the right thing, instead of turning them loose to screw up the neighborhood and die, had was going to shoot them to stop the pain they would experience before it began.

This is a tough one. What do you do with these animals? Finding homes isn't always that easy and having to spend the money on their upkeep in the meantime can get expensive.

At the very least, we animal lovers should be grateful that he wasn't tying them in a bag and throwing them into the creek...that's a horrible way to go. Oh the pain...

I know everyone gets all freaked out when people kill animals on pourpose, and I do too, but you need to remember that there are certain instances where you don't have a choice. It upsets me to hear that say Drew's dad drowned kittens, but it had to be done.

Anyway, thats a interesting turn of the tides. That must've been quite embarassing. You got shot by a puppy you were trying to kill....

Also, for those who say "Put them in a animal shelter" over crowding and over populating is a another issue as well. Many dogs and cats in shelters are put to sleep. Sad yes, but life goes on.

But neither do you, it would seem. Fact is, I'm a member of P.E.T.A. Well, the other PETA anyways.

The title is so funny (man gets shot by puppy) It would be hilarious to see a puppy holding a gun and shooting someone.

He could have taken them to the animal shelter. Yes, most of them are euthanized, but at least he actually tried.
