| | | Shaving A lose lose situation. One of the most dreaded parts of the morning routine. Shaving!
On the one hand you can shave everyday. Makes the process a little easier going, but is time consuming and costly (razors are expensive!). Then on the other hand you can grow out a huge beard and never worry about shaving, but then it freakin itches!!!
Me, I have to keep clean shaven to conform to the cedar point grooming guidlines. Honestly though I dispise shaving. I've used many types of creams and gels. Many different types of razors and electrics, and have never found a working combination.
Electrics don't do squat for me. I keep one in my car for an emergency like if I forgot to shave and am running late for work, but other than that I'm pretty settled into the mach 3. I love my mach 3, but it is still a painful experience. No gel or cream has ever made the experience any better.
My question. What's your combo? Electric? Mach 3, Quatro, etc etc. Is shaving a dreaded time of day for everyone, or is it just me
I'm a Mach 3 Turbo/ Edge "tough beard" gel guy

| | | I went to Barbasol (the cheap cream) beard buster and a Mach 3 razor at Cedar Point. After about a week, I got used to it, and it worked fine. I don't use aftershave cuz that may make things worse.
I also hate shaving (I haven't shaved in about 3 weeks, so I kinda have a full beard going, but it's also had a side benefit to this cold weather we've been having... my face doesn't feel like it stings from the cold). |

| | | I use Mach 3 and the aloe CVS shaving cream.
I use an electric trimmer though when I have a gottee as I have right now.
I don't hate shaving, but I usually skip it on Saturdays if I'm just messing around the house.

| | | I used to love my electric until my cousin dropped it on the floor and broke it.
Now I use those Shick tripple blade throw away ones with Gelette shaving gel. I got non-throw away Shick Xtreme 3 for christmas that I will start using once I finish with my throw aways.
I pretty much have to shave every day now, but usually get lazy and end up doing it every 2-3 days which causes alot of itching and blood spots on my neck and face.
I hate shaving, there have been many atime when I've tempted to cover my face and neck with Nair.

| | | I just use an electric. It's quick, easy, painless, and clean. I don't see how there could be any advantage to using a normal razor if you keep yourself clean-shaven.

| | | Electrics don't do it for me. No matter how many times I go over my face with an electric I still have too much stuble for the grooming guidlines I have to conform to.
Maybe its my electrics. Whats a really good electric brand?

| | | Norelco, I guess.
I use a Schick Quattro (midnight I think) and Aveeno shave gel. It works pretty well and keeps my skin from drying out and cracking.

| | | I don't shave yet...I will need to be doing so very soon though, probably by the summer or so. I sometimes use one of those shaver type things that are smaller and look like a pencil. That is really good if you just need to shave a little.

| | | I use a Mach 3 and whatever shaving cream is around. Sometimes I don't use cream (for small touchups). But mostly, I shave every-other day or so.

| | | It's weird you say that, when I was in my early 20's it seemed like I took forever to grow a beard and now I have one in 3 days. lol

| | | I also have a baby face because I only have to shave about once a week. A Mach 3 works great for me since I don't have a lot of facial hair. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
