Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanskgiving to all of the Canadian members of ThrillNetwork.

How did you all spend your weekend?
I spent 2 days with my girlfriend and her family since she was home from university, had dinner with my family on Sunday (where I ate way too much great food), and dropped my girlfriend off at the train station today as she headed back to Windsor.

Yes. Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving the second Monday in October, as opposed to the fourth Thursday in November as Americans do.

Canadian Thanksgiving and US Columbus Day generally occur on the same day.

As for myself....spent both sunday and monday having big feasts....and I woke up this morning feeling like absolute garbage........I don't want to see food for a few hours still!!!

Did any one here in the US get Columbus Day off from work or school? We at our weather lab decided took a day off from our research.

I believe some, but not all, get to enjoy that long weekend.

You know, I'm actually kind of shocked that people don't even know that Canada celebrates Thanksgiving at a different date...this just raises the age-old question: how much does America know about it's neighbour to the North?

Yes well, any "holiday" that I don't get off work is not a holiday.
