| | | dumbest commercials There are some really stupid commercials out nowdays, mostly car commercials. Like the volkswagon commercial where the guy pulls up behind the cyclist on the curvy road with it completely dark. How the hell was the cyclist able to see before? And the suzuki commercial where the guy leaves the house and parachutes down to his suv. How the hell does he get back to his house? |

| | | Commercials aren't supposed to make sense, they're supposed to get your attention. And, judging by your reaction, they did what they were supposed to do.

| | | Or, maybe talk about the commerical on an internet message board getting their name out there. So, if you think about it, you're actualyl helping them advertise:)

| | | Very good point WildeFyre. The two commercials tha you mentioned are in no way the dumbest commercials out there. Dumb? maybe, but the dumbest. The commercial with the biker is advertising headlights that turn with the wheel. With them the biker was able to see around the bends. Gets the point across quite nicely if you ask me. The other commercial is great at getting your attention. If you are flipping through the channels and see a guy falling off of a cliff you would stop. I know I did. Being the adrenaline junkie that I am only made that comercial more exciting. You are thinking too much when you ask how he gets back up. It's a commercial. Now there are plenty of commercials that are incredibly stupid and a lot of them are car commercials. The two you lissted just don't fit the dumb category.

At the beginning, you see the bycyclist had a generator on his bike and that the light died. The car happened to pull up behind him at the perfect time.

Who cares? He's got "teh 1337 SUV d00d!!!!1111!!!"
It's a commercial. You're thinking a bit too much about it.
Go Diet Pepsi Machine!!!

| | | The worst commercials are local ones with crappy songs, sung by crappy, local singers. There seems to be a boom of those lately around here, and I can't stand them. They do get stuck in your head though, so I guess it helps the company get its name out there, but can't they find another way?

| | | So, since people are taking the SUV commercial so seriously, here's my explanation of how he gets back to his house...
Seeing as how he based jump from his house to his car it would seem the buisness man is a risk taker, and enjoys high thrills. So, my guessing is that once he gets home he climbs back up, no ropes or anything.
Better?

| | | nah, when he jumps off the cliff, you could see a little bit a fear or maybe its anxiety on his face. i dont think hes as much of a risk taker as you make him out to be, which makes me believe that he uses ropes when climbing back up to his house.

The Best Buy commercial with the Black Eyed Peas is a wonderful example.
