| | | That's awesome. Firefox is too sweet.
I was content with IE, but after seeing ads such as the buttons found on sites like TN I finally gave it a shot and I'm very glad I did.
Anyone who doesn't have Firefox yet, do yourself a favor and download it now. |

| | | I'll have to agree that Opera is pretty sweet, and I tried switching over to it awhile ago, right after it was made 'free forever' but I just couldn't get used to it.
Don't get me wrong, there was nothing I found wrong with Opera, it's just I've been using firefox for so long now, I can't really get used to anything else.
So if you use IE and are considering switching to Firefox, also try out Opera. It's got many great features. |

| | | Does this thread mean Firefox has 100 million users or it got 100 million downloads? Your thread title is unclear, and your post doesn't explain it.
I'm an avid user of Firefox. I didn't like it at first, and I stuck to IE, but the extensions (adblock!) and tabbed browsing sold it for me.

| | | I never really like IE. Firefox has the tabbed browsing, which is a minor but key feature. |

Sorry, 100 million downloads since v1.0 launched last November! I thought I posted a link but I guess not so here you go:

I gave Opera a shot but I didn't see anything that stuck out as different or better than Firefox so I just kept using Firefox |

| | | I actually just switched to Firefox a few days ago, though I still use IE for a few applications. Seems good so far.

| | | I switched to Firefox when it first came out. there really isnt much of a difference in it's handling frome IE. I've been very happy with Firefox even though the longer I've had it, the more Ads I find slipping through the cracks, but I can deal with one or 2 a day, it really doesnt bother me. IE i used to get 4 or 5 per site I visited.

| | | I'm a former Opera user who now uses Firefox pretty much exclusively. Firefox has everything that I liked about Opera without some of the small annoyances that I would encounter with Opera (page renderings and other minor annoyances). With it's extensions, firefox can do so much more than Opera ever could. Add in Thunderbird for email, which totally blows Opera out of the water in every way, and you've got the complete package.
However, Opera blows the stuffings out of IE and Outlook. It's a great little deal, but I've found I like Firefox much better.

| | | I've used Firefox on wired, wireless, and dial-up networks with no differences whatsoever (aside from network speeds, but that's across the board). The problem, I'm guessing, would be more with wireless conditions at that point, because any problems would appear with TCP/IP and the wireless, versus the application level.
I keep 4 browsers on my desktop (for development)... Mozilla Suite, Firefox, IE, and Opera. I use Firefox primarily and I also develop using it primarily. But, I test in all browsers, and IE is tied with Mozilla Suite to be the bottom. Firefox is at the top, with Opera coming in second. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
