Busted for having sex while on a school field trip, four Southwest High School students are now facing some serious consequences.

The four students, two girls and two boys, were part of the Naval ROTC at Southwest High school. The group was in Corpus Christi for a ROTC competition.

Southwest I.S.D. officials tell News 4 WOAI all four students have been kicked out of ROTC and have been suspended from school.

“[They were] suspended for sexual misconduct during a field trip,” says Sharon Woldhagen, with SWISD.

The district tells News 4 WOAI the students admitted to having sex at the hotel they were staying in, while in Corpus. Woldhagen says the incident happened sometime after midnight, because the last bed check was at 11:30 p.m.

“Sex during a field trip?” says SWHS student David Ramirez. “It’s real shocking"

“Shocking” we’re told because the Naval ROTC students are supposed to live by a creed of leadership, personal honor and individual discipline.

News 4 WOAI has learned Southwest ISD is re-evaluating the structure and guidelines of school field trips. The district is also considering rooming chaperones with students when they go out of town.

Do you really think they cared, or even knew, about that fact?
All they probably cared about was their raging hormones and the fact that they were away from home, in a hotel, and the idea that it was relatively safe since the last room check was done.

Also I can tell you that more TN members now know about this issue than the number of our locals that are probably aware.

I am going to administer the royal pad lock on this thread before this get out of hand like it has on the other similar topics.

And one more thing Brent, if you are going to put my hometown on the TN spotlight, at least find something that is reflects better about our city, otherwise it my job. ;)
