Well, I'll tell you this, it isn't Ohio. Now, Detroit may not necessarily be the shining example of brotherhood and cleanliness that Toledo is, however we can count in 'years' how long it has been since we've had a riot. Columbus brought us a man who on a nationally syndicated radio show predicted the final score of the OSU - U of M game at Buckeyes TWENTY-seven, and the Wolverines twenty-SEVEN. All hail Michigan, land of the world's greatest wood roller coaster, and the Zilwaukee Bridge. But, lest we forget, California, land of the roller coaster of pure evil, the smog volume award going to L.A., as well as the prestigious Capri Sun Cup.

Got to go with my home state of Texas! I was born here and lived here virtually all my life -- a place I will always call home. Besides having a respectable collections of parks and rides, Texas is also home to the landmark Space Center Houston, the Alamo/Riverwalk in San Antonio, and Reunion Tower in Dallas. The climate of southern Texas is another reason with hot and humid conditions during nine months of the year and the other three months where it is still relatively warm.

Colorado, because there is a lot more to life than roller coasters. This is why I migrated from Indiana to go to school in the CO. Alaska, I think, is a pretty awesome state but I would not want to live there. And I just got one thing to say to you warm weather wussies, stay there. That way, you won't come to my mountain thinking you know how to ski or board and snow plow/leaf flutter yourself in front of me when I'm trying to hit a sweet kicker. Damn gapers.

^ Ha! Well, I'm sure you're joking about that but just for fun there is also: Skiing Hiking Camping Skiing Skiing Photography Distance Running Traveling Hiking Skiing Movie Making and I also enjoy skiing. All of which Colorado has to offer in spades! I can live with the fact that SFEG is the best park we have to offer (even though I think the Lakeside Cyclone is the best in the state) and it is a 5 hr drive from where I live just because I know a high quality ski mountain is only 24 min. away. Sweet bliss. |

Don't ever ask a man where he's from. If he's from Texas, you'll know, if not, you might embarass him. Texas, of course. We're just that awesome.

I am from Oklahoma but my favorite state is texas. H-Town to Dallas, Arlington to Fort Worth. I love this state. I don't care for country music but I am hip-hop and Texas is blowing up right now with it. I had been listening to Screwed and Chopped, SwshaHouse, DJ Screw, and S.U.C., and DSR way before Mike Jones, Who? and no one got it. Texas is my state.

Well, yeah, bgwfreak. What you said is true. But there is definently a difference between camping at an RV park and camping in the middle of a canyon miles away from any form of civilization. Same's true for all else I said, same activity but the excitement is heightened by the local (I guess I should have noted what kind of photographer and filmographer I am. Landscape and skiing for photo, mainly skiing and other action sports for film. Although, yeah, I've taken some pretty gnarly coaster pics as well). And yes, I love skiing and hiking, which is why each got more than one mention. For me, roller coasters are my biggest hobby but skiing and hiking are my life. And running to the best ride at a park first thing after opening is a far cry from distance running. Still, you are right, most all my activites can be tied into parks. I guess I just like a good thrill. But some thrills are better than others. And, of course I knew from the beginning that you were kidding about the whole thing. Its just that, on these boards, you never know who is cool and who is gonna get pissy over a little disagreement. Thats why I try to start out passive when ever I say something contrary to another person's opinion. I'm sure you know what I mean, being a member of these boards yourself.
