What's Your favorite State?

Mine's California. I so want to move there!

why:
There's Rollercoasters everywhere, it's Warm ( I hate the Cold!)

There's Never a shortage of things to do.
There beaches actually have WAVES (cough'Coney Island has no waves'cough).

There's Las Vegas right nearby (Atlantic city Sucks! Posers!)

Well what's you opinion?

(Oh and btw please don't pick more than 3)
Also oregon is cool, but not my favorite. I used to live there.

My favorite is the one I live in PA. I'm never bored here. There's always great weekend trips to take. But besides PA it would have to be Virginia or Maryland. Both have sites that interest me. I'm big into the Civil War so Maryland has Antietam and Monocacy while Virginia has the whole Richmond/Petersburg Area, the Shenendoah Valley, and the Peninsula (between the James and York Rivers). BGW is most likely built on the site of either some small skirmishing or a camp. There was a large battle fought right between where BGW is now and the city of Williamsburg. Maryland has Baltimore, which is one of my favorite cities, well the inner harbor section at least, while Virginia has Williamsburg. Both places have nice hiking trails. I really can't choose between them. I'll say they tie for 2nd behind PA.

My favorite state is the one I live in. I 've been to Florida and California, but neither of them do it for me like New York does. Especially living in New York City.

Alaska has ungodly good weather if you're someone who like the colder climates.

Hawaii for reasons I don't need to explain at all.

Next door to my New Jersey - Pennsylvania has some nice charm. I may want to relocate there in the future. West Virginia blew me away.

California I liked, especially San Diego. My great liking simmered down a lil; thinking how its quite different from all I've grown comfortable with on East Coast. Good point someone made to me is the "No Tolls."

New Jersey is my funkytown. There is so much I can do within 1-2 hours. Mountains to shore in no time - Two big cities - Lots of Amusement parks - yet High Insurance - High Property Taxes - but there's Full Service Gas!!!

I chose Nebraska because i have lived here most of my life. Its cheap to live here and we're free of pretty much all natural disasters. Unfortunatly we don't have any coasters. ( But next year we will. We're getting Scandia Amusement Park's Scandia Screamer.)

Personally, I like my home state the most. Even if I lived somewhere else, I would still love minnesota. I love hunting in the winter and riding coasters in the summer.

Texas.

Because we have Austin, but our summers are hot, and usually our winters are too. Plus, we're like 10x as big as you! (200 Rhode Islands in one Texas!) ;)

The sage in bloom is like perfume, deep in the heart of Texas, Reminds me of, the one I love, deep in the heart of Texas!

Yeah, you'd be only 5 hours from your favorite park: Carowinds ;)

NC would be my favorite as it is home. You have the mountains 2.5 hours away and the beach 3 hours away. It's nice.

VA would be next. Great state, lot's to do within an hour of Richmond, 3 parks, DC, VA Beach, etc.

OH would be 3rd as it has great parks and it's a pretty state as well.

I have to go with Illinois for one of my three choices just due to biased for me living there. Chicago is great and has an awesome skyline which will only be getting more impressive with a building by Trump already under construction and two proposed skyscrapers that will be near or about 2,000 feet tall. That's not a typo, I said two buildings at or near 2,000 feet tall. There's also so much to do there. A major sports team in all the major league sports. And just so much else.

For my next choice, it would be Ohio just due to how much I love Cedar Point and it has two other pretty good parks (PKI and GL). If I would live anywhere but Chicago, it would be Sandusky, Oh.

My other choice despite not having ever been there would be California. It goes without saying that they have some great amusement parks. Also, if you live in the southern part of the state, you have warm weather just about all of the year. And since I love movies, Hollywood would be great to see. I'd love checking out all the studios there as well as everything else they have to offer to tourists visiting there.

I said:

Florida: For obvious reasons

Virginia: My home state, like most parts, except rednecks scare me.

Maryland: I like Southern Maryland, south of D.C.

I also lived in Ohio, but didn't like it much, and Texas, and I only like Austin there.

I really like Virginia

New Jersey's not that bad where I am, pretty nice down by the shore, but there are quite a few areas I would be caught wandering around by myself.

I liked California, but it wasn't as mind-blowingly better then everywhere else like I'd heard. Still had a great time though.

Florida is fun, but I can't stand the humidity and constant random raining.

Ohio and Pennsylvania are nice too, but they're both incredibly boring outside of the major cities and theme parks.

Guess I'd have to go with CA or VA as my favorites

California easily wins. Its got everything. The best thing is that the main focus or area isn't exaggerated on one area. Theres great places to live, hangout, and do stuff all over the place. From warm sunny surfing to snowboarding down huge mountains in Tahoe. Its a great place. TONS of diversity and activities.

Second runner up would proabobly be Colorado. Very cool state....but kinda flat asides from the Rockies.

Michigan is the best. (And that's probably because of the fact that I've lived in Michigan my entire life, haha.)

Michigan has a cool climate, very hot summers, and very cold winters. Its almost right in the middle of the temperate zone.

Michigan has Detroit. It's home to proffessional sports teams of the MLB, NBA, NFL, and the NHL.

Michigan has 2 peninsulas, thats right. Its a 2 for 1 state. Beat that Texas, ;).

Funny quote, since well over half the state is covered by the Rockies. Nobody really lives in the flat portions anyways unless you consider Denver flat.

Well, I cast my vote for Texas. It is considered home for me, but as much as I would rather have cold weather than hot, there is just something about Texas and the way that people that consider Texas home, see themselves. Some may call it cocky, but while it is a degree of arrogance, ya gotta admit - there is something about connecting with a state that was once its own country.

Besides, lots of beautiful country out there, the "Cowboys", the Stars, the "Astros", history, the "Mavs" (and we might as well include the "Spurs" and "Rockets")....and what more can be said.

Now, let me get back to my Thanksgiving Day dinner (gotta love being sick and working on holidays) - and yes, I know Thanksgiving was yesterday.

PA is the home of great TN members such as Ryanb122 and Coastermatt.

But that can't come close to GA's offering of GP and Coke Cool.

I chose PA anyway...Storm Runner and stuff.

Hmm- looks like Indiana is sucking hind tit- no votes. Of course, I live in Indiana and I didn't vote for it, either.

My vote went to Tennessee- Beautiful scenery, friendly people, and it's the home state of my family. I'm only the second generation out of TN. It wouldn't surprise me if I end up going back to stay.

I just wish they had more coasters there. It's kind of bad when Indiana beats you with more coasters.
