BCS: Keep it, or Get it Out

What do you think should be done with the BCS? Keep it, modify the ranking system, create playoffs, or add one game?

I think they should create a playoff system. It would have to be at least 8 teams if not 16.

I think they should have one more game added to the schedule and create a playoff system. There could be 16 slots, with 2 or 3 going to non major conference teams. They could then keep some of the bowls for the teams that had 6 or 7 wins, but didn't make it to the playoffs. The playoff games could be played just like the bowls, in the same city and such.

So...
-16 playoff teams (2 or 3 non major conference teams)
-15 bowl games (for the teams that didn't make the playoffs)
-this system has 3 more than there currently is, but I'm sure there are some bowl deserving cities out there

No matter how it is, there is going to be conserversy. But I think this would be a good alternitive. I mean, it works in Div. 2, why not Div. 1?

I've described it similar to that before and some pople, for some reason, got confused by it. I think they just didn't want to admit it made sense because it wouldn't benefit their team like the BCS does.

The BCS is mainly about $$$$$$$$$

That's why they should get rid of it.

Could the bowl selections be considered bribery? Because they're pretty much choosing teams based on how much revenue the team will bring in.

Then there's the automatic bids. Those are total bull. FSU got in with 4 losses just because they luckily won their conference.

^That's what an automatic bid is. Look at the NCAA field of 65 in College hoops. Oakland, if I'm not mistaken, made the tourney witha 12-16 record...by winning their conference. Why should you be penalized for winning your conference by not making a bowl game?

I'm not saying they shouldn't go to a bowl, but why do they get to autimaticly go to a major bowl when other schools only get an automatic bid to a small bowl. They should still have to meet the criteria for making a BCS bowl, 9 wins and a final ranking in the top 12.
