How to Post In a Forum

I can't check this right now but I guess it's funny from what others above said. So I'll check it out sometime. From the sound of it, it covers the TOS as Steven said, but in an amusing manner.

Speaking os posting, there is something that bugs me and I was going to start a thread about it but I guess this is as good a spot as any to bring it up. When "quoting" someone, why do people feel the need to quote the entire post that someone when all they needed was a small part of it. They copy the whooooooole thing and then reply "that's how I feel". Is it really neccessary to do that? Couldn't they just address the person by name or just quote a sentence or two of the post. It hurts my brain to have to read that much. Reading is bad! It was bad enough I had to read some posts once, then I have to read them twice!

For those who don't already know and I'm sure there are some who don't. You can delete what you don't need from their post just as you would delete something out of your own when editing it. So go ahead, try it out, quote someone today and delete the excess. I'm not the only one who has this complaint, am I???

When someone's just being annoying, yeah, that's most definately a pain, I gotta agree with you there slipknot. However, when it's a good debate and it's a long post and they have to address each issue individually, it helps when the person shows you what they are responding to so that you aren't lost. Quoting whole, long post and then putting something dumb like a smilie is a-freaking-noying.

^^Ditto to Steven. Iwas just fortunate enough that when I joined forums, I had a basic idea. Some of you (not saying who) are clueless and need to seriously watch this.

Also, the quote feature is useful when you want to quote multiple people, but it is unnecessary to quote the post directly above you.

I dislike unclear thread titiles. I think those little snip-its should basically reveal what the thread is about and not be vague. I like Thread titles like:"SFAW's Greezed Light lap bar colors" or "Other B&M launch?" rather than "A SFOG question."

^^ I agree. I get ticked when I click on a link and the title either has nothing to do with the thread or doesn't even explain it one bit. I've NEVER done that.
