| | | Charlotte is cheaper and the South is the cheapest in general because our cost of living is the lowest in the country.
'Course we make the least in the country too, but it's all relative. lol

Admittedly, i get 40+ miles to the gallon, and sub 10.0s performance to 60mph, but i still pay too much for my fuel.
And... while we're on the subject, i also pay £155 a year just in tax to be allowed on the roads. *I Know the exchange rate isn't quite that bad, but i can't be bothered to break out a claculator for a rant... |

| | | Ok...I think we understand the 2 US Dollars to 1 pound, at least I do. What about the litre to gallon rate so that some of us can understand fully?
Gas prices here hit $2.00/gallon and are said to hit $2.30 by May. I guess this means one thing...I need a raise.

| | | Here in Columbus, OH, gas just shot up to $2.06. That is about as high as I have seen it. Its really rough on me because I deliver pizza and have to fill up my tank about three times a week. Atleast my Toyota is getting 35+ mpg.

| | | 1.80 around me. In some of the more rural gas stations it is up over $2. The Shell station 1000 feet from my house is at 2.06, and that is pretty bad for evn that station which has really high prices. |

| | | I live on the Illinois side of St Louis so to get to Missouri, I have to cross the Mississippi River. Yesterday, I was crossing the river from the Missouri side of the bridge, the price was 1.70 at a gas station right before the bridge, buthen I got to the Illinois side the price suddenly jumped up 30 cents to 2 buckaroos! The bridge is 1/4 mile long. I thought I'd never see a 30 cent jump every quarter mile. LOL! Must be taxes or something like that.

| Yeah, the I would say we do have it pretty good with less than half that.
Skye...say 10-15 years ago, how much was it for you to fillup? Not as much I would bet. Same here, gas prices were low enough that putting $5 in your tank meant you were putting 5 gallons in. Just means I have to budget a little better and find the best deal in town.
