It hasn't rain in a week in a half after raining for about a month and a half straight. Now Its starting to get hot. It still hasn't hit the 100's here, which is really weird for Texas. I'm sure Jimmy will say the border has been past 100....

"Arriving at my hotel in San Antonio at 11 pm at night and the hotel parking lot asphalt is still beaming heat" hot is what Texas is. How about coming off Steel Eel's MCBR and sweeping to the ground to feel a strong scorching wave of hot air? I usually don't visit park shows @ SFGADV,CP, HP, BGE but with the heat you'd want to visit the SFFT show just for the half hour of AC. The word of the good quality shows @ SFFT and the AC to shelter you from the tremendous heat compliment one another in producing good show quality and beating the heat.

It was stifling humid yesterday. Today the thunderstorm came on the following hot hot day in the New Jersey/Philadelphia area.

Hellspawn storms from 4:00 p.m. to about 6:30 p.m. Internet went down for a bit, as did the TV. Lights flicked, but no actual outage.

When you live in a city with a reputation for teriible floods, extremely heavy rain for over two hours isn't that great.

Today was really weird; it rained all through the night until about 8:00 p.m. It was so cold, I actually had to close the window because of the breeze!

Well we have a tropical storm headed straight for us. TS Erin, which is just several hours away from Corpus Christi, TX, is barely a tropical storm, which just formed last night. Really, the biggest thing we have to worry about is just moderate rain. Normally, a tropical storm is nothing to worry about. But we just came off the wettest month in our city's history in July, so already we're saturated with water as it is, so Erin (anticipated to administer up to another foot of rain) is expected to worsen the flooding than it would have been without all the rain last month.

After landfall in Corpus Christi, the current track of the storm puts it further northwest heading to San Antonio.

Still hot but not humid. It may be possible to have the windows open at night here in Jersey.

I was in Murfreesboro... got to 110 degrees there... just as I'm getting used to 100 degree heat in Nashville.

It's 75 here, which is really strange considering it's freaking Texas! It's usually more around 100 this time of the year. I guess it's in part due to the fact that's its storming right now.

It is so damn hot. Georgia is on a drought...well, the whole southeast is. We are 22 inches of rain behind schedule. It has been 100 degrees and up (and muggy) for the last week or two, without a drop of rain.

^ The last I heard the region where I live is 27 inches below the average. This is the second summer that's went by with hardly any rain.

It's back up to 89 here, which actually isn't too bad for Texas. We should be getting some rain on Monday!

Corpus Christi Caller Times
Brownsville Herald

This is what the front covers of our respective newspapers looks like. Obviously Hurricane Dean has our full attention and we are anticipating its impact later this week. Forecast track takes it on pace for landing in northern Mexico or southern Texas.

In fact, the city of Brownsville (located next to the Mexico border in the extreme southern tip of Texas) is already calling for voluntary evacuations and recommending preparations for the probable invasion of Hurricane Dean.

Despite the definite occurence of Dean slamming somewhere in the western Gulf coast, probably the best case scenario (for minimal damages and fatalities) would be for Dean to hit (midway between Brownsville and Corpus Christi) in an extremely sparsely populated Kennedy and Brooks Counties in south Texas. This remote area of Texas is virtually no man's land -- over 2,400 square miles of wide open flat farmland with a combined popluation of less than 600 people.

Just a drizzle down here in Columbus, but should be off and on rain whether down here, or back home in Kent. Nice and cool in the 70s.

We were in the 70's here in the Northeast. Thunderstorms cut the humidity Friday night to this nice, cooler eluding to Fall weather Saturday and Sunday.

It's 78 down here in Texas right now, but then again, it's in the morning. It should heat up later this afternoon, but hopefully not.

Rain. Rain, rain, rain. It sucks. It's been raining pretty much nonstop since Saturday night. I haven't been on Raptor in six days. But it might clear up today or tomorrow.
