We have had mild weather in New York City. It is expected to get up to about 78 degrees on Thursday, so I look foward to that.

It was cool today... much colder then it was over the weekend. Only in the 40s and it looked like rain all day.

We actually hit 88 here yesterday. I was lovin it. Nice and warm with no humidity!! Today we had a "SEVERE THUNDERSTORM" warning ... Yeah, I think we got about a half inch of rain. No lightning, no thunder. So much for the big bad storm.

A high of around 70* today. There's a 40% chance of Severe weather tommorow with a slight chance of Tornadoes.

^Don't you love Tornado Alley?

Here, its been anywhere from the low 70s (highs) to the high 30s (lows). Gotta love Ohio. But this means no more winter jackets, and beautiful coeds showing more skin.

Near Record Heat Triggering Power Outages

This story is available on your cell phone at mobile.woai.com.

The record heat has over-taxed San Antonio’s energy generating capacity, and rolling outages are taking place – not only here, but over a large portion of Texas. Pockets of San Antonio are experiencing 15-minutes outages as CPS Energy scrambles to find enough capacity to serve the entire city. These rolling outages are expected to continue until after sundown.

At this time there is not sufficient generating capacity in the region to reliably serve the public's electricity demand. It is extremely urgent that all electricity customers in the region reduce their use of electricity to the lowest level possible. This includes…

* Making sure your thermostat is set at 78° or higher in the summer.
* Don't use any electric lighting, appliances or equipment unless absolutely necessary for health or safety.
* Don't open refrigerators and freezers more than necessary.

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) is doing everything possible to return to normal operations. ERCOT is the corporation that administers a portion of Texas' power grid serving approximately 85 percent of the state's electric load, including San Antonio.
I don't live in SA so this doesn't affect me. But this is really weird.

Our high for today is expected to be 90. It's 88 degrees right now and partly cloudy. I should go for a walk.

It has cooled down quite a bit from last weekend. Highs around my area are:

Brownsville -- 89
Corpus Christi -- 86
Laredo -- 97
McAllen -- 92
Victoria -- 89

A big cool down from the widespread 100-105 degrees we saw last weekend.
