I can't wait to see an inch of snow shut down Texas

It snowed, though nothing close to resembling sticking, but still, it snowed today. I'm very happy.

Right now it is 32 degrees here and were under a freeze warning. But yet two days ago or so we came close to the record high in Oct. - 86.

I remember when it snowed last Christmas Eve. It was cool. I doubt we see snow this year. I still can always wish. I am ready for the fall weather.

Heck Andrew, a tenth of an inch (0.1") of snowfall is more than enough to completely shut down my city....for a couple of days

And don't you remember our December 2004 historic snowfall? We had that record-obliterating 3.6 inches of snow recorded. Now, you are literally going to be waiting for decades before we see any possibility for the next snowfall in our area.....probably another century.

And actually, I spoke too soon; seems they've updated our weekend forecast. After the cold front has passed us, it'll be 82 degrees here in Corpus Christi, and 86 in McAllen and Brownsville. Still a lot cooler than before, in fact our highs haven't been that cool since early March. And even after the front, overnight lows for us won't even drop below 70 degrees.

Yah, they said it was suppose to get in the low 60's over night, but It didn't. It feels good out side, but its not that cold. Just right.

Well, it's a pretty big storm outside here, but The Niagra Region is worse. They've closed the Peace Bridge border crossing at Niagra Falls because Buffalo has around 60cm, and in a state of emergency. Not to mention a lot of homes around the area are without power and probably wont get it back till after the weekend.

Another cold front is on the way, and this cool blast will likely drop our highs below 80 degrees for the first time since March 4th of this year.

Our highs tomorrow -- before the cold front hits:
Corpus Christi: 90 degrees
Laredo: 96
Victoria: 89
McAllen: 95
Brownsville: 93

After the cold front passes, most of our area, except the extreme southern part, will probably fall short of 80 degrees for the first time in about eight months.

After the cold front:
Corpus Christi: 77
Laredo: 74
Victoria: 71
McAllen: 83
Brownsville: 82

Note: Brownsville and the rest of the extreme southern tip of Texas still have not seen sub-80 degree highs since about mid-late February.

It is a calm 51 degrees in New York City at the moment. We should be seeing some rain showers tomorrow, however.

Warmed up fairly nicely again today around my area:

91 in Brownsville
89 in Corpus Christi
94 in Laredo
93 in McAllen

The Heat Indices got in some spots as warm as 100 degrees again.
Can't beat south Texas weather!
This is the time of the year when we're usually the warmest area in the nation.

Denver got 4 inches of snow from about 3 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday. I watched it turn from rain to snow, and it kept up after I woke up.

Other parts of the state got hammered. The mountains got up to 18 inches of snow, and Colorado Spring, which is about 70 miles south, got about 1 1/2 feet.

The weather is expected to be pretty mild today with a high of 64º. Rain is expected tomorrow and possibly some on Friday, but temperatures will decrease to the low-fifties and high-forties.

We're needing our jackets today as our high is going to fall just short of 70 degrees today and tomorrow. A cold blast from the front last night is getting us down to high of 68 degrees, which is about 15-20 degrees below normal for early November. Just the day before yesterday, it was a comfortable 91-92 degrees here. Fortunately, we'll get back to normal this weekend.

From the rain/sleet/snow mix (with thunder and lightning) on Saturday, to highs in the 60s on Monday and Tuesday, back down to "normal" in the 30s, and lows in the 20s....ahhhh.

mid 40's for highs here, and I'll be outside all day tomorrow working on my truck so that I don't have to do these things in REALLY cold weather.

^^ You are looking at 48-hours of virtually continuous rainfall....caused by the unusually high dewpoints spunoff by a strong low pressure which will be just south of New York City in the next day or so.

Here, it'll be back in the mid 90s for most of our area, and around 90 degrees along the coast before the next cool down arrives this weekend.

Again we got 94 degrees this afternoon with triple-digit heat indices (103 to be precise). Another big cool down will send our highs tomorrow 10-20 degrees lower than it was today.

Everything dried up after about a day, and the weather has been beautiful lately. We might see a little rain on Sunday though. The highest temperatures of the weekend will be in the low sixties.

It is currently pouring and 60º in New York City. We should see some rain for the rest of tonight and some on Tuesday. Maybe a shower on Thursday, but the rest of the week looks nice.

After a bitter cold spell during the weekend, our temps are back to normal and looking great with a high of 77 degrees today, and this weekend is looking even better in the mid 80s for much of our area. Some spots could approach 90 degrees next week as we look forward to the Christmas.

It's been as cold as 30 degrees two Fridays ago, now the weather hovers around 50-60s in the Delaware Valley up here in the Northeast. I just talked with a lady I know today that just hates, hates Laredo, Texas with the nasty weather she experienced in the past.

For some reason it seems like the wheather is really weird this December compared to others. This past week we never got above 35 and even came close to braking a record low of 3 degrees, but today's high was around 60 and right now it's 48 and it's been like this since Sunday.

I want my snow back, dammit! We had a nice winterstorm dump around 6 inches of the glorious whitestuff last Tuesday and Wednesday. Then temperatures hit 40 on Saturday and been at 50 since Sunday. This is late fall/early winter and December. I want my snow!

It's not weird, it's actually normal weather pattern during the fall for temperatures to shift like that. It's called temperature inversion -- when warmer/milder air overrides the colder air; usually that kind of change (associated with a warm front) will produce some light rain or drizzle, which you may have also experienced recently.
