Political commentator Tim Russert died today after a collapse. He was the Host of NBC's "Meet the Press." Obituary threads - you either hate or love them here. I think he was a cool guy and I gave him 5 minutes occasionally. I note the age just like I did for John Ritter when he died at age 54. My father and uncle are around that age now.

I found this very sad. I liked watching his political opinions on the Today Show mostly. I never really got into watching Sunday morning politics shows. Too much debate and throwing sticks and stones.

I found his political commentary refreshing and really telling it like it was. He really wasn't for one side or the other and he was a very nice guy.

He will be missed.

Although I'm not a huge fan of Meet the Press, I did occasionally watch it and Tim seemed like a nice guy. My prayers go out to him and his family.

Generally the niceness roped me in. I remember that one guy from the Washington Post on the This Week. I remember David Brinkley but this was like when I was 10 and got really annoyed that my father bored me with it on Sunday mornings.
