| Comedian Bernie Mac Died at 50
CHICAGO (Aug. 9) - Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who teamed up in the casino heist caper "Ocean's Eleven" and gained a prestigious Peabody Award for his sitcom "The Bernie Mac Show," died Saturday at age 50. "Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement from Los Angeles. ------------------------------------------------------------ This is terrible news. He was a great actor and a very funny man. I liked him alot. My heart goes out to his family. Way too soon for him to go.

My favorite line of his came from The Original Kings of Comedy... "If you are old enough to talk...You are old enough to get hit in the throat or the stomach!" Also another quote which still makes me crack up to this day. "I want some milk and coooookies" with attitude of course. He will be missed. He was a very funny comedian.

Yeah he will definitely be missed that's for sure. Was a great comedian. One of my favorites lines also came from the Kings of Comedy too, "she gotta learn, she gotta learn".

I knew he has been sick, but wow I didn't expect this. He was hilarious and I'll miss him. BTW, the Original Kings Of Comedy was filmed here in Charlotte, and the arena it was filmed in has already been torn down.

My coworkers got text messages today at work. I told my one buddy to confirm with Yahoo! News. I never really watched his work. My extent was just watching commercials for his show on either FOX or UPN. I am disappointed a figure from comedy is now lost though.

I mentioned this morning that he died and both my sister and brother-in-law called my bluff...until after I showed them the story.

I read a few days ago in the paper that he was admitted to hospital for something, I wasn't expecting this at all. I used to love watching his TV show while eating dinner or late at night when I couldn't sleep. I also loved his character in Transformers. RIP

This is weird. Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac had a movie they just did together coming out. Isaac died yesterday, a day apart. Weird.

He was just starting to get big-budget roles too. Hopefully we're done losing actors this year...
