With the Olympics going on and everything it got me wondering as to the ancestry of everyone here. There's only so many countries/regions that can fit in the poll, so if yours is left out, or you would like to be more specific, please post it. There will be NO descriminatory remarks in here. Keep it civil.

Now as for me, If you didn't know by now, I'm Irish, but I also have some German ancestry, and possibly a bit of French, although we're not certain. My dad was born in Canada, but I'm not sure if that really counts as "ancestry".

I'm an American, however my ancestry is Scottish and German. There's also Irish back through one branch of my family. A lot of English too.

So basically just white trash.

It's safe to say I'm about 90% Italian and the other 10% is a mix or Irish and English.

Same here. My great grand parents came over from Poland in the early 1900s the LEGAL way. Still have to get used to talking to my nephew and referring to my parents as his Busia and Dzia Dzia.

I'm a quarter Mexican and a quarter Czech (I think it's a quarter). I've also got Irish and English in me. My Mexican roots can be traced back to Spain, so I'm a tiny bit Spanish.

All I can say is that 100% of me comes from the scorching, tropical climates, where winter is virtually nonexistent -- and that's all that matters!


Well actually, I guess I could elaborate a little more here.

First and most important, I'm proudly a deep south Texan -- born, raised, and lived. Both my parents are from small village communities near the major city of Surat, India -- the Diamond Capital of the World. So that makes me a first generation American.
