Halloween Haunts 2008

Ok so it's not long now before the haunts open up so i thought it would be a neat idea to make a thread and everyone can list what haunts are near them and if they have a website post that as well.

Maybe even give some reviews after visiting them & post some photo
Haunt trip reports.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

In the Charlotte/Greensboro area we have:

Spookywoods - Spookywoods, North Carolina's favorite Halloween Attraction
Woods Of Terror - The Woods of Terror on Church Street, Greensboro NC
Campground Massacre - Campground Massacre - Charlotte

Forest Of Horror - Forest of Horror
Terror By The Creek - Terror by the Creek, NC Best Haunted House
Haunted Mill & Nightmare on Independence - Charlotte Haunts

And of course there is the awesomeness that is Scarowinds - http://scarowinds.carowinds.com/

The first 3 are major haunts that have been featured in the top 13 haunts in the US. The others are big popular haunts in the area.
---------------------------------------------------------------
My home away from home (Orlando) i really only know about Halloween Horror Nights & Howl-O-Scream.

I should be listing lots of HTR's. I will be visiting atleast 10 haunts this season.

well, I'm new to the Orlando area, but there are two haunts that I will definitely be hitting up, and luckily for me, they are some of the best in the world. =)

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando and Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens Tampa.

Most Notably for the New England there are 2 new attractions being introduced. not to mention one big expansion. NH is on the top of there game this year.

Canobie Lake Park in Salem NH - They are bringing in their first Haunt event and goign all out. bringing in Spooky World, New Englands horror theme park. 3 Haunted Houses haunted versions of 2 park rides(Canobie Express and Mine of Lost Souls) and a Haunted Magic show. Rides will be operating. Canobie Lake Park

Mel's Funway park in Litchfield, NH is adding their own Halloween event. 2 indoor haunts and 2 outdoor haunts. Nightmare New England

Charming Fair Farms is expanding form their Haunted hay ride and introducing 3 new attractions. Harvest of Horror is 4 haunts(Wagon of Fear, Barn of the Dead, Ride Into the Bog, Infested Corn Field) in one long attraction. Halloween Horse-Drawn Rides

New Hampshire has plenty more to scare your pants off: New Hampshire's largest haunt Haunted Acres NH in Epping. Fright Kingdom (formally Fright Fest NH) in Nashua. Haunted Overload now located at Coppal House Farm Lee, NH was voted one of the top 13 haunted attractions in the country by Haunt World.com.

Unfortunately Victorian park in Salem Will not operate their Haunted Mansion and the Forbidden Forest attraction.

WOW. That cornfeild mazy looks amazing. It looks like it could take hours to get out of that and being scared while doing so could make it a long night.

I'll once again be buying a Frequent Fear Pass for HHN, but I don't have any other Halloween/haunted activities planned.

There are several around Charlotte as well. The one I've been to is on the east side down Hwy 218. It was cornfusing. ha ha ha!

Seriously though it was very confusing because it's not a normal maze where you have deadends and such, it makes apicture (from above) and so there are all these cross intersections that make it very confusing.

It took us like 45 minutes at least to get out. I'm glad Jack Nicholson wasn't chasing us.
