Black Friday finds

So what good deals has everyone found? I got a 32" Sony Bravia Flat panel TV for $500. Was originally about $630 or so.

I found an 8GB Ipod for only $69.99 and my Parents purchased a 52" Phillips flat TV for $1,100. Too bad the mounting bracket was not on sale. That was $350 dollars. We also purchased a 2nd Blu-Ray player for $110.

We got alot of stuff. Basically i'm now completely done with my Christmas shopping. I only have to buy a Panthers jersey for a friend and i heard everything in the team store at the stadium is going half off in 3 weeks so that will just have to wait.

I didn't actually get one, but I saw that Walmart was selling forty 42" LCD TVs for 400 bucks apiece. Also, somewhere else was selling 27" (?) LCD TVs for 200 apiece. Those are the best deals I've found.

I'm not into the whole "Camp Out in front of Best Buy during your Thanksgiving break" thing, but on my way home from Santa Rosa today I stopped in and got two pairs of shoes at the Nike Outlet for $75 bucks.

My father picked up a Magellan GPS that I meant to buy for the family at first. I bought dress shoes. I'm due up to buy a SD chip if I like the Motorola phone at the Tmobile store.

I found someone trampled to death at Wal-Mart, and a couple of people who shot each other to death at Toys-R-Us.

That Wal-Mart incident was just disturbing enough as a reader, I can't imagine how the store and locals are feeling right now. Materialism at its worst.

I didn't buy anything, I was actually cleaning up all the merchandise that got thrown everywhere at my local Target store til 2am this morning...

The other side of the coin isn't as fun.

^^^I read the Toys R Us shooting wasn't related to black Friday, more or less some personal issues between the two individuals.

No friggin merchandise is worth anyone's life. Those people need to be ashamed of themselves of how any of them behaved in that particular store yesterday.

OMFG I want a TV, let me trample someone to go and get it! What has our society come to?

I got my TV 3 weeks before, and while I paid about $100 more than the going deals for others... I got a better one overall. The other ones they had were crap. There's the saying "you get what you pay for".

Someone at work was saying their friends were asking him if a $200 Acer laptop was a good deal.

Uh, no. It's an Acer piece of junk that will fall apart in 2 mos!

Just like I thought; the Friday & Saturday deals don't last into Saturday. Those items are already gone. I should have got the memory card yesterday. It'll just be slightly higher this week in the circular so I can wait.

At Target, I paid only $30 for Dead Space on PS3 (Regular price is $59.99). That's pretty much the only Black Friday deal I was looking forward to, and I was able to get it in the middle of the afternoon.

I hate that it sold out in less than an hour. I got to Target at 7:00 when they opened at 6:00. Then I went to Best Buy and it wasn't on sale.

^ I got the last one at like 6:05. They were only selling 5 per store.

Which is a crock because they usually have tons of those.

GameStop had a whole "wall" of the things stacked up.

I also got the Aerosmith GH for $20 at GameStop yesterday. Can't recall if I mentioned that or not.

I've beaten both of them on easy already lol.

Yeah, that's about all I've done since yesterday.

Sidenote: I'm glad to see so many Wii's finally make it into the stores. Although that doesn't really matter to me as much since I've got mine.

I kinda got mine at the perfect time though, the good games are finally coming out for the Wii now it seems.

Try "Hot For Teacher" on Expert, Wes. Also, on GH:Aerosmith try "Toys in the Attic" on Expert. Talk about finger workouts. Lol. They are both really fun though.

Not sure if it was a part of Black Friday, but I nabbed myself a 12 Pack of Pabst Blue Ribbon today for $5.

About $4.87 more than it is worth.

I picked up a Squier strat with a bad tone pot for free on Saturday- does that count as a good deal?

That was one of the hardest songs on easy, I can't imagine expert level. lol

It's interesting to see some bands that are left out of the games: AC/DC, Boston to name two off the top of my head. Probably publishing rights or something. Even Michael Jackson is in WT. lol

Oh and Katie, I've already started on Medium and beaten the first 5 songs, which I know are the easiest of the set list.
