I can't believe there's not thread or news story on this yet! This morning it was announced that the Walt Disney Company has agreed to purchase comic book company Marvel for 4 Billion dollars. The deal has been approved by both boards and needs only to go through anti-trust evaluation before final approval. What I haven't found so far is what this does in the immediate future for Islands of Adventure's Marvel Island, though obviously existing license agreements remain in place til they are complete. If I was a betting man, I'd wager that Universal is looking at what they can do to re-theme that area sooner than later.
