Talking Yet Another UC3D Question

Hey guys,

Alright, I'm trying to do a large loop, ala Kraken or Kumba, but adjusting the approach tracks into the loop, so that they don't run into each other, causes the loop to appear wavy/not smooth when riding it.

Hmm, I don't know if that made sense, but maybe there's somebody else out there suffering like me. If there's confusion, I'll post a picture.

Maybe I'm just too much the perfectionist for this software. Ah well... Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ben

I think I know what your problem is. You have to angle the entrance and exit to the loop inwards just a degree or two to get rid of the wavyness. Also the top control point has to be rotated slightly. Think of a loop as a corkscrew that you pushed the ends together on. It still has to have a slight amount of twist to it.

Thanks Tom!

I was studdying your Shockwave model for clues and I thought that inward angle was negliable, but I was wrong. Hopefully I'll be able to get this track decent looking now.

Thanks again!

I understand you, I totally suck at UC3D and I'm trying to get better.
