Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that -- did you download the patches and so forth from the official site and try it with those? Maybe that will help fix whatever the problem may be.

I'd be interested to hear about any fixes or what the problems ended up being. My husband wants to load XP on this machine and I'm arguing with him about it becuase I do NOT want to lose RCT. I have the expanded version, so LL/CF will not have to be loaded separately. He seems to think it would have something to do with the drivers and/or video card.

I'm married, and both my husband and I play RCT! When we have the time, of course, more in the summers than now (we're both teachers).

Yes, I have a husband AND a son, and I play RCT. But that's okay, they are on their PC's most of the time too. There have been a few times when dinner was late. I play mostly in the wnter or when it's too nasty to be outside.

You said you downloaded them right? Well maybe the site was experincing difficulties and when you downloaded it,it was defective. Or maybe Windows XP won't handle the expansion packs.

If thats true I'm not getting Windows XP.

The latest operating system from Microsoft. I don't know a great deal more about it - no doubt someone else will add a load of details.
