I decided to download the mega park, so I got winzip, I unzipped it, and here's the problem.

It asks me where I want to open it, or, what program created it, so I choose RCT. The game comes on, and I get this message:

Unable to load saved game...
File contains invalid data.

Could someone help?

you got the drexler patch? that's the message that pops up if you try to open a file that's been 'trainerized' or you should'nt have if you don't have the drexler patch.

http://rct.ogresnet.com should have it. Just hop on over to utilities. Plus you may want to get the Loopy Landscapes patch as well. It is offered at the original RCT site and should be at Ogre's site.

try extracting the park and renaming it what u want with .sv4 at the end.

Okay... I loaded the Drexler Patch on, unzipped the park (it then had the .sv4), and tried to open it... but it still wouldn't work.

If a trainer was used that I don't have, could that be the problem?

The trainer used in building the aprk will not have made a difference. Have you also looked into getting the latest patch for your verison of RCT, CF or LL? That may be what you need. Go to the offial RCT site sor it or up to Ogres net which I linked above.

Edit: I've already downloaded the official patch and the drexler patch, but they're still not working.... hmm....

if you have XP, then you cant actually open the park from the folder outside of RCT, you have to open RCT and open it from the load game button. thats what happens to me. im assuming this since you said

if it STILL doesnt work, then thats probably just that one messed up park, try other parks...

thats all i can say really, but try the first thing i said.

Guess what? No can do...
Here's What I've been doing:

1) Download the park (both opening and saving)
2) Double click on the park; Winzip comes on
3) Unzip it
4) It asks me what program created it; I choose RCT
5) Double click on park; I get the "message"
6) Get off RCT, get back on, look for it in load game
7) Won't open

I do have Windows XP, and if there's something I'm not doing right, tell me so I can download some of these great parks!

dont do that.....im kinda confused...its late and i just got back from schiltterbahn!! lol...okay dont pick the rct choose what program thingy download the park open it from its CURRENT location if its a ZIP file then open the zip and put the park in desktop or ur rct folder....go to START on ur computer...go to ALL PROGRAMS then find RCT start RCT then load the game from the front RCT Menu thats how i do it....
