Six Flags Wild Florida

Welcome to...
Six Flags Wild Florida!
Brief History:
The park opened in 1985 as Wild Forest, owned by Eastern Amusements Inc., a company started in 1977. They experienced immense financial troubles in the late 90's and eventually had to sell almost all of their parks. Six Flags bought Wild Forest in November 1998 and changed the park's name to Wild Florida. They fixed up the park, and a few years later it became the top money maker in the Six Flags Chain.
Location: De Land, FL. I-4 exit 118 on to Route 44. It's somewhat in between Orlando and Daytona Beach.
Here are the areas in the park with their coasters:
Action Island
~Riverside Cyclone (Dinn wooden-twister 1985)
~Superman: Ride of Steel (Intamin out-and-back hypercoaster 2003)
Dark Swamp
~Serpent (Arrow shuttle loop 1989)
~Viper (Arrow megalooper 1991)
~Medusa (B&M invert 1995)
Gotham City
~Mind Bender (Schwarzkopf 1987)
~Batman: Knight Flight (B&M floorless 2001)
Adventure Forest
~Forest Trail Railway (Intamin mine train 1997)
~Florida Giant (CCI out-and-back wooden 1999)
Cartoon Fun Zone
~Road Runner Express (family coaster 1993)
~Whirlwind (Spinning mouse 1999)

New for 2005! Six Flags Inc. has just announced today full details conerning their new coaster being built in the Action Island area of the park. It will be an Intamin rocket coaster with six inversions called Matrix Overload! The new coaster will also be the first to be themed to the famous movie. Stay tuned for construction photos!

OK, I don't have time to post any pics right now. I'll probably do it later or tomorrow.

This park is just like a Six Flags park with all the names and stuff. Really cool! Now I want to see some screens!

Is this going to be for the TNPP?

Exclamation Update!

bk2004, this will be in the January TNPP.

I have a construction update for the 2005 coaster, Matrix Overload. Its six inversions are top hat, dive loop, vertical loop, corkscrew, and a double barrel roll. Track length is about 4300 ft, and the launch is 0-70mph in about 2 seconds! So far the first two inversions are complete, as well as the track for the station and brake run.

In the first pic, you can see the launch and an undergound tunnel. The second pic shows the park's entrance, which I decided to make simple. Later on tonight I'll post a pic of the top hat, as well as other areas in the park. Since winter break starts this Wednesday at 11:55 AM , you can expect to see progress on this park speed up.

That's a great entrance. The yellow roofs go very well with the wildlife theme. And I'm glad to hear this will be for the TNPP. I have a feeling we'll be getting some great entries in January.

Nice entrances. I like all the 'brickness' and the flowers that go well with it. I also like how it doesn't overpower anything.

Very nice. I like how people take good pride in their parks. I'm like that too, I just wish I knew how to save a screenshot to my harddrive and then post it on here so you can see my park.

Exclamation Update!

It's been a while since I updated this thread. Now I have a few more pics to show you...
The first pic shows part of SROS, an Intamin hypertwister. The second pic shows its station. In the third pic, you can see another teaser for the 2005 Matrix coaster.

They are just custom supports somebody made. You'll have them when you download his park.

______
-Superman looks great.

-The station is a little tall and square. It doesn't look bad though. Maybe add some more shape to it.

-Matrix coasters looks insane. The supports look great (no matter what Aaron says!).

Something really bothers me about the way you used the turns on SRoS... I can't figure out what, but they just look weird to me.

Riddler, I respect all your work...but that jumble of SROS track doesnt fit well at all...its just kind of ugly....but the MATRIX shot is one of the most awesome looking coasters I've ever seen on RCT.

Thanks for the comments! Ok, if I got rid of the carousel turn in the bottom left corner of the SROS pic, would it look better?
